Over 5000 people voted, but only 21.9% of you had faith in Tim Ferry to make it onto the Supercross class podium at Anaheim 3, putting him in third place in the voting behind Nick Wey and Michael Byrne. Here’s how the voting results ended up in last week’s poll question (With Ricky Carmichael taking another week off, who do you think is most likely to end up on the podium, assuming Bubba and Reed are there again?):
- 39.5% Nick Wey
- 21.9% Tim Ferry
- 27.7% Michael Byrne
- 5.8% David Vuillemin
- 4.8% Travis Preston
We’re not sure if Timmy watches the TWMX.com poll results for inspiration, but either way he went out and proved 78.1% of the voting public wrong by grabbing his first podium finish of the 2007 season in Anaheim this past weekend. Add that to his six other top-five finishes, and we’d say Red Dog is having a pretty good season aboard his new Monster Energy/Kawasaki ride. Good enough, in fact, to be sitting in third place in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series points standings.
This Week’s Poll Question
With three West Coast Lites rounds left, Ryan Villopoto has all but wrapped up the championship with a 31-point lead over Jason Lawrence in second. Villopoto has won every round so far, except Phoenix, where his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki teammate Christophe Pourcel beat him.
Of the riders in the top five in points in the West Coast Lites Series, who do you think has the best shot at stealing a win from Ryan Villopoto in the three rounds remaining?
- Jason Lawrence
- Jake Weimer
- Chris Gosselaar
- Josh Grant
