AURORA, Ill. (December 14, 2001) – c The award will be given to the top three points finishing adultprivateers in the 250cc class of the 2002 season of EA SPORTS Supercross Presented by Speed Stick.
In an on-going effort to help support the privateers that compete in EA SPORTS Supercross, $50,000 will be divided into increments of $25,000,$15,000, and $10,000 respectively and be given to the top-three adult pro privateers in the 250cc class.
“As a former racer I understand the importance of bonus award programs geared towards the adult privateers,” said Todd Jendro, director ofsupercross for Clear Channel Entertainment. “This fund is instrumental in keeping the privateers on the road while assisting in the growth of the program.”
The pro privateer points fund for 2002 of $50,000, coupled with Clear Channel Entertainment’s previously announced $100,000 privateer fund, is the single largest amount of money in the history of supercross that has been solely dedicated to the adult pro privateers. The combined privateer points fund comes out to an unprecedented $150,000.
