I got to ride with Jeremy McGrath at Castillo Ranch yesterday at the Bell Helmets Moto 9 Flex press launch. Towards the end of the day, he asked me to film him on this big jump on the far side of the track, so I hiked up to the top of the mountain and waited. He never came. That’s when I looked up the valley and saw that he was hitting the freestyle ramp instead. Let’s just say I’ve never run so fast in a pair of Gaernes before…

This afternoon as I tried to download some fresh video files onto my desktop, my computer resisted with the “not enough memory available” warning. And we all know what that means: time to delete some stuff off my desktop! Before I emptied the trash, though, I took a quick look at the files and decided that there were a few that should see some use before going to a pixelated grave, somewhere in cyberspace…

Ronnie Faisst is quite likely the baddest 38-year-old FMX rider. He’s also a truck racer and also super into fashion, according to a new Instagram account I stumbled across. He’s also a bad ass at martial arts and could beat me up in a millisecond, so I’ll leave it at that.

A few weeks ago I traveled to Thailand to attend the Thai GP. I first met Thomas Covington when he was still a B rider, being trained by my buddy Johnny O’Mara. Instead of going the usual route and transitioning into 250 Supercross, he headed to Europe to race the MX2 World Championships. I had a great time hanging with Thomas, and I wish him a ton of success.

This is an outtake from our April cover shoot with Jessy Nelson. You can read all about it in the issue that’s on newsstands right now. It’s so hot in Corona today…I wish I was back at Mountain High shooting photos in the snow. This is one of my all-time favorite shoots; both because it was so unique, and Jessy is such a cool kid.

Also, the #swapmotophoto hashtag is a total joke…I think it’s kinda vain when dudes create their own hashtags…
