This is the 37th season of AMA Supercross (1974-2010)
The first points paying AMA Supercross event was held March 9th, 1974 in Daytona, Fla., and Pierre Karsmakers won on a Yamaha
Later that year, Karsmakers went on to win the first ever AMA Supercross championship.
