We highlighted the GoPro footage from the first MXGP motos at the 2014 MXGP Of Bulgaria in yesterday’s coverage from the event, but we felt the action from Gautier Paulin and Antonio Cairoli was worth another look. Although Cairoli nabs the holeshot aboard his Red Bull KTM, a mistake just corners into the moto gave Paulin the chance to strike aboard his CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki. There would be no catching Paulin on the treacherous, rutted, and bumpy downhills of the Gorna Rositza Circuit in Sevlievo and the French rider added yet another win to his records at the track. A sudden downpour turned the hard packed course into a muddy, soft quagmire just before the second moto, which Cairoli won handedly. His 2-1 finishes bested Paulin’s 1-4, and gave Cairoli his first win at the track since 2007.
