The 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series is almost complete, as this weekend’s stop in at MetLife Stadium will mark the sixteenth round of the year. Having a race in the New York City metropolitan area is huge for the sport, all because of the population size and diverse demographics. This is the third year in a row for a round in East Rutherford and with two titles to be decided, we think this might be best one yet.
Feld and Dirt Wurx rushed from Boston to East Rutherford early this week, then built the track before a string of storms hit the area. After seeing how well they salvaged Anaheim One and Foxborough, the rain shouldn’t have a big affect on the soil. It’s worth noting that a Monster Jam event took place at the venue last week, so a solid base has already been laid down.
Have a look at the layout below, either by computer rendered drawing or by following along with the animated track map. Either way, you’ll get an idea of what to expect on Saturday night.
