This is the end, friends. After months of cross-country travel and lots of exciting laps, the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series comes to a close this Saturday night. And as bittersweet as it is for the final flag, we really cannot wait to see what goes down on Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, because it has potential to be one of the best races of the year. Although the 450 title is off the table, the rest of the premier class needs to find their place in the point standings. And then there are two 250 titles up for grabs, plus the 250 East Vs. West Shootout. Who needs a casino or nightclub with this kind of excitement?
The field will do battle on a pretty interesting course, because every inch of the stadium will be filled with desert hard pack dirt, and will even feature a run outside of the venue. Riders will hit top speed when they feed back into the venue from the run out back, but technical obstacles will slow the pace down a bit.
Have a look at the layout below, either by computer rendered drawing or by following along with the animated track map. Either way, you’ll get an idea of what to expect on Saturday night.
