Romain Febvre’s hard crash was one of the biggest stories to come from Saturday’s qualifying motos at the 2016 MXGP Of Great Britain. The Monster Energy Factory Yamaha rider and Suzuki World Racing’s Ben Townley made contact in one of the fastest parts of the track, which sent defending champion Febvre flying head-first into the face of a jump. Febvre was knocked out upon impact and according to On Track Off Road, was taken to a local medical center for further evaluation due to pain in his neck and memory loss.
Although no official word has been released by the team, it’s unlikely that Febvre will line up on Sunday afternoon given the circumstances and injuries. We will share more news as it become available.
