Practice inside the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, for round eight of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series has concluded. Picking up where he left off last week was Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, as he turned in the fastest time in the Supercross class with a time of 50.735 and was the only rider to drop into the 50-second range. Behind him was JGR/Toyota/Yamaha’s James Stewart with a time of 51.175. And completing the SX class podium was Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey with a time of 52.355.

The second round of the East Coast Lites class and eighth round of the Supercross class takes place in Georgia tonight and is live on SPEED.

In the Lites class, Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen bested the field with a time of 52.132—a time that would have qualified him third in the Supercross class. Second quickest in the Lites class went to defending Champion Geico Honda’s Justin Barcia with a time of 52.344. Behind Barcia was his teammate a rookie Justin Bogle with a time of 52.548.

Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto was the fastest in the SX class and the only rider to dip into the 50-second lap time range.
