BUFFALO, N.Y.‹Just one week after Torco Racing Fuels Honda¹s Trey Canard
captured the AMA Supercross Lites East title in St. Louis, Dunlop added the
Lites West crown following a superb race by Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy¹s
Jason Lawrence at round 16 of the AMA Supercross Series Seattle, Washington
on Saturday, April 26. Needing a second-place finish to collect his first
AMA pro title, Lawrence rode his YZ250F flawlessly. For the season, the
21-year-old from Lake Elsinore, Calif. amassed three wins and three seconds
in the eight-round series.
In the main event, Torco Racing Fuels Honda¹s Kevin Windham won his second
consecutive and fourth 450-class Supercross win of the year on his
Dunlop-shod CRF450R, moving to within 10 points of the championship with
just one round remaining. Honda Red Bull Racing¹s Andrew Short and teammate
Davi Millsaps were third and fourth, respectively, putting Millsaps and
Short in a battle for third overall in the series with one round remaining.
The AMA Supercross Series moves on to Las Vegas on Saturday, May 3 for the
