San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/Yamaha Team Manager Larry Brooks just comfirmed today that Josh Hill will join the team for the 2010 season. For the past few weeks, rumors have been flying as to who would join James Stewart under the team’s tent next year, but with Hill’s Yamaha background he seems to be the perfect fit. Regal is unproven, Bryne and IT have no more upside. Hill is a good choice but if he fails here then he is done.

unproven? come on dude, they picked Josh Hill! Hill is pretty fast but he hasnt rode like he can in a couple of years, its like he doesnt train anymore! plus Regal had some pretty good results this year! i agree tho, this is hills last chance!

Josh Hill has let it go. He proved it again last year with his pants falling off his fat a$$………try putting down the twinkies and give training a shot. Tedesco must've wanted too much money and we know Stewart likes guys who put him on a pedestal…………….There is no doubt that Stewart is the king of indoors and outdoors if he wants………..

i honestly think it was most of stewarts decision on who to have a team mate, cause from what i remember him and james are pretty close, so why not hill then

Josh is young, the big money from Yamaha , gave him the Rock Star syndrome, with injuries and personal family issues all played in his downturn and hanging with Lawarance not good. I knew Josh racing back thru mini's, I think he will turn around and be there with Villopoto's speed again I am sure, watching them 2 battle every weekend on mini's was as good as it gets and I think we will see it again. this year!

I CANNOT BELIVE WITH THE RESULTS THAT HILL HAS PUT IN OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS THAT ANY ONE WOULD EVEN CONSIDER GIVING HIM A RIDE WHEN YOU HAVE GUYS LIKE REGAL AND TEDESCO OR EVEN GEORKE WHO RODE EXCELENT FOR YAMAH AND FATBOY GETS THE RIDE, IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU INFLUANCE AND POLITICS DO EXIST IN SUPERCROSS.

Hill will do fine under the tutelage of Stewart and Brooks. Tedesco or Windham would not have taken that ride for the money that I'm sure was offered.

i dont think so, but it would make sense with what they meant by "Hill’s Yamaha background he seems to be the perfect fit" i thought winhdam signed a 2.5 year deal straight into his retirement. isnt that y he didnt race last year's US open?

Puts the whole "Blocker" thing in perspective. Hard to have a top 5 rider be a blocker, but a slow maybe top 15 guy is perfect.

If you think Regal is unproven you have no idea what you are talking about. He is 18 years old and trains harder than pretty much all the factory guys. He showed he could place in the top 5 on his own equipment and even better than that on the Valli team. Just imagine a factory team. He may be unproven in supercross but with what he can do on a bike outdoors im sure he would be fine. He has a full blown supercross track at his house and rides with Chad Johnson, Tedesco, Shorty, and the Hahn brothers all the time.

at least on a good day Hill can win, like he has before. Last year chism was a joke. Hill will effin smoke people like he did at minneapolis 08 once he gets his back healthy again. I have six herniated disks in my back right now. Same injury as hill. I understand what its like to try to be fast when your hurt so bad

Exactly the point, these eejits hide behind usernames and act like the know something about motocross.
I thought motocross was a family sport and a brotherhood, then why oh why do these negative, trash talking oxygen thieves choose to be a part of our sport .
I feel sad when someone has the cheeck to criticize out pro riders - motocross is one of the most intensely challenging sports in the world, if not the most.
Respect is earned people, and you lot have none of it coming your way - ever !
