L&M Racing’s Official Statement Regarding Chisholm

LOS ANGELES, CA, (April 27, 2009) - L&M’s Team San Manuel Yamaha rider Kyle Chisholm was black flagged and asked to leave the race track for a move race officials felt was unsportsmanlike at round 16 of the 2009 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, an FIM World Championship, April 26th, Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Upon further review, the FIM ruled that Chisholm interfered with another racers progress.  As a result, he was disqualified from the Salt Lake City Supercross main event, fined and not allowed to race the series final in Las Vegas, NV this May 2nd.

According to Team Manager Larry Brooks, “We’ve discussed the incident at length with Kyle and firmly believe, as a Team, that he would never do anything intentionally unsportsmanlike that would jeopardize himself or another rider. I really believe Kyle when he told me, and the FIM, that he had made a mistake on the track.”  Brooks added,  “While I am certain that Kyle’s error on the track was a result of a personal error in riding technique, we have to support the FIM’s ruling.” “I know Kyle is truly regretful for the concern he’s caused his Team, sponsors and race fans; it’s an unfortunate situation for everyone.”

Chisholm, after working his way through a tough section of the track, found himself in between San Manuel Yamaha teammate James Stewart and competing rider Chad Reed.  Kyle came into a corner with too much speed, applied the brakes, trying to stop his forward momentum, and accidentally struck the rear tire of his own teammate Stewart before catching the foot peg of Reed’s bike.  As a result, Chisholm himself was thrown off his Yamaha and into the tuff blocks; he remounted and subsequently asked to leave the track by AMA officials.

From Kyle Chisholm “I know I made a mistake during the race and take full responsibility for my actions.  It was never my intention to make contact with James Stewart or Chad Reed however, I must respect the ruling of the FIM and accept the consequences as a result.  I want to express my sincere apologies to our Team, our sponsors and to race fans everywhere.”

At this time, Brooks is undecided as to what further actions the Team will take regarding the incident.

i would have done it, reed had it coming. how does reed get away with putting his hands around stewarts neck and chisholm gets charged with this crap?

  • xxxracingxxx Says:

because reed isnt the one that came to a comlete stop to let by stewart, and then quickly got on the gas to get in front of reed and nearly run him into hay bails… And reed wasnt the one who went full bore into the side of another rider who was battling for the lead when he was a lapper. yes reed was wrong for the neck thing but its nothing like riding a 200 lbs bike into another rider intentionally.

  • jus read mine Says:

ok and you can disagree or agree with what i saw but this is what i saw (on my 56 inch hdtv countless times on slow motion)
    1. in the turn before kyle lets stewart by then pushes reed wide.
    2. kyle never hit james’ back tire. because kyles front tire never flinched or moved at all. so there is no way he hit james. james’ back tire never moved at all either. and from what i could see they were close but no contact.
    3. kyle locked up the back break and was slowing down (while aimed towards reed) the gets close to reed and guns it. as in throttles up.

And i think this is ridiculous and dont find it coincidental that this happened under Larry brooks tent. and i think kyle was really let off easy personally but thats a whole other comment :D

  • xxxracingxxx Says:

and then your ganna say next… well look what reed did to james… and well james left the door open for it to happen while he’s battling for such a close championship. as for what larry brooks and kyle said in this release… they made themselves look like pieces of horse crap by not saying there sry for kyles actions and we are ganna do something about it. instead larry says ohh no he did it by accident. B-S!!! watch the tape its obvious what kyle tried to do. MAN UP larry and take responsibility for the actions of your rider.

pablo musta got a bad start :(

  • CN313 Says:

BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! i personally think Chisolm thought it would be funny and that they would all laugh about it later, and they probably did . .

  • Anonymous Says:

I feel bad for anyone who believes what they said in this statement. By denying something that was beyond obvious, it just goes to show that it indeed was a team tactic and that they’d rather play stupid than admit the obvious.

  • Anonymous Says:

Believe me, they ain’t laughin.. If anything their waiting on the reactions of this statement before coming out and telling the truth or firing Kyle to make sure their reputation doesn’t go down the shitter.

  • CN313 Says:

or maybee put yourself in chisolms shoes, what if he did get a fat check for it, would you do it for a lot of money? although it was the wrong decision, money talks, and id have to say a lot of us would give in if the sum was big enough!

  • gabe Says:

stewart would have won anyways, it was just a mistake, chad has pulled crap like that in the past [the neck grabing] and didnt get in troubble, so im on chisolms side, and any ways chisolm was on the inside line to begin with, its not like he was on the out side and then cut in to purposly hit reed, so just for get about it and grow up, what “happend” happend so except it

  • J.B. Says:

Nothing to disagree with. Saw the same from my 86 inch theater.

  • Anonymous Says:

that why larry brooks in aon a non factory team because he is a crappy team manager they all know kyle tried team tactics no matter who who are when your getting lapped you dont ride into a corner full speed into the leaders and its funny that he did it when reed was coming by hmm sounds like a take out move or just to slow reed alittle because reed was riding way better then stewart that night so thanks to kyle he go’s into vegas 6 down insted of tied

  • Anonymous Says:

kyle wasnt even riding full speed until they past him and as soon as reed and stewart passed him he picked it up when your a lapper you dont go into a corner like that. You go slow and tuck it around the inside like any real rider and stay out of there way just like reed said “kyle chisholm who is that” meaning he is a no name rider who should be out of the back of his truck insted of a big rig

  • Anonymous Says:

So what if CR touched JBS, he deserves & needs to be touched anyway, that grab was nothing, and only seen in still form, who really knows how aggressive it really was. That grab had nothing to do with the points situation. Chisolm never even turned, he was aiming straight at CR. But hay Chisolm sucks anyway, the only reason he’s on that team is because of JBS, he sure as hell hasn’t earned that ride or even anything comparable to it with any other team. Just so funny coming from a team that the manager is so against lappers getting in the way, but can only make excuses for his riders, I wonder if Kyle got a spanking after that sit down talk. LOL

  • Anonymous Says:

good so he cant screw up las vegas

  • BoB Says:

Theres no qustion that that was some dirty pool on Kyle part, but Reed should have never let the points get this close. This was he’s champship to lose. Reed had a major point lead on Stewtart.

  • Mrs.Radine Says:

What a bunch of Bull****!! I mean at least the team, Bubba and Kyle could tell the truth. I mean if Alessi gets into to Bubba in Vegas I am sure they are going to have the same statement! If you are gonna have a pair to do what you did to Reed on purpose then at least grow a pair and man up to it! Reed in no way deserved it and he may or may not have won the race if the inncident didn’t happen, but at least he would have had a fair shot!

  • motoxfan Says:

As a Supercross and Motocross fan I was robbed of a spectacular race. I’m not a Stewart fan nor a Reed fan, just a huge fan of the sport. After watching Chisholm’s blatant, amatuerish, feable attempt at taking Chad Reed out of contention, while being lapped was an outrage. Myself and all true fans were robbed of a legitimate, grind it out, bar to bar race outcome by two extremely talented riders. Come on FIM! Hold these teams and their win at all costs, money mongers responsible for pushing these talented kids into these dangerous positions. If the right thing is not done, Supercross and its quest for respect, and legitimacy, will be seen as nothing more than a county fair demolition derby.

  • jeremy779 Says:

I was at this race and after watching a great battle for laps I then got to watch as some jerk runs into reed in a corner that had plenty of room for him to make it through. kyle deserves to have his ama licence stripped for the move he made. I also feel that Larry Brooks needs to be kicked out of the pits. This race was on CBS a company that has invested more into our sport then a lot of other major broadcasting company’s have and now Becuase of riders like Kyle making us look like a bunch of no class jerks we could lose things like that so I say good ridence to Kyle and I hope he doesn’t have a ride next year.

  • Redalert144 Says:

    Total bs press release

  • maddie Says:

Reed should really get what he deserves , His a– beat on the track and then what can he cry about. He is got to be the biggest cry baby out there but yet
never suffers from any of the bull from FIM .He Pushes other riders and causes more sh-t than any other rider out there. Lets face it they all what to Win but not the way he wants. He goes out there to (DIRTY) Ride everyrace. Its getting so I can’t even stand to hear his voice when he apppears on the pod.

  • Holeshot Says:

The bottom line here is it was a great race which all fans wan’t to see until Chisholm took a shot at Reed. If you like Reed or not is not the point here. It was a direct cheap shot and any AMA Rider with a Pro license knows the rules when lapped traffic is approaching. Stewart even admitted that his teammate let him easily. If the AMA has any guts they need to award the necessary points to both riders and make them tied going into Vegas. Enough Said..

  • SG Says:

Its one thing for two rider battling to bang bars but totally another thing when a 3rd party/teammate guns it like I saw on my 96″ HD Theater…bogus.

  • ysw Says:

we have watch week after week that when js and reed race it comes a cross that reed runs a little dirt out there in js takes the beef js is out there to do one thing that my friends is to win if you look at the season you will see that only one rider out there does not need any help to beat the field did you people ever think that kyle was thinking just like everyone that i have 8 -10 seconds before the second place ride (reed) will be coming get in and out of this section then move over because we all know supercross is all about timing lets not take what a race it was and how js came up to win number 11 by 8-9 seconds i have meet kyle in jacksonville and he is a true man he tells you like it is and if he says it was nothing to do with any other rider other then himself then thats that on the subject kyle you are the man that is out there every week moving up on the score card keep on riding you hart out

  • Holeshot Says:

Let’s be real here. Isn’t it kind of a ironic that out of all the other riders on the track that were lapped it just happened to be Stewart’s teammate that took the shot. If I was Stewart I would man up and give the 1st place points to Reed and take 2nd place and be tied going into Vegas. That would make everyone either against or for Chisholm not even an issue and would take the Team orders out of it.

  • Anonymous Says:

It was pretty clear that Chisolm could have run that bike right into Reed if he wanted to! This is just another excuse for him to say he didn’t get a fair shot at the title. Did anyone see the sketchy pass Reed made on Stewart just a few laps prior. I think it is BS that Reed never gets crap for anything he does… oh yeah because JS isn’t a cry baby who makes huge gestures on the track, he puts his head down and races.

  • ysw Says:

Lets put it way HOW MANY times has REED knocked JS off the track and became the winner. He Never gave up the win. I got the best T’ made for vegas
    REED 1 Get Up
    2 Shut Up
    3 grow UP
I’ll be there look for it.

  • Redalert144 Says:

Chisholm had no reason what so ever to be on the inside at all!

  • Anonymous Says:

He is on a factory support team. Same difference he still deals with factory yamaha. Brooks is a good manager and to say they planned this is stupid. Maybe Kyle did it on purpose maybe not but to think the team had this all planned out is pretty ridiculous.

  • Anonymous Says:

I think you Stewart haters can kiss my $%^. He won the race fair and square head to head with Reed. Reeds punk $%^ just can’t keep pace with Stewart. Stewart does not need a teammate to win races, he just needs to stay on 2 wheels.

  • fed-up Says:

    what a bunch of bulls**t! Brooks and all of l & m are a pieces of s**t

  • Anonymous Says:

It doesnt matter if Kyle was on the inside or not. He was not in the race and therefor had no one around him racing him hard so he had no justification to jump to the inside of reed.

  • Don Says:

I don’t think L & M had anything to do with what happened I believe this was done by the rider and not planned. He just happened to to be in a position at a time when he could interfere with Chad Reed and he made a poor decision to do so. I really wish he would not have done it because I wanted to see how the race would have ended. I was surprised at the statement and was expecting something that was more of an apology for the way their rider acted. Instead, it seems like they are denying that their rider intentionally ran into the only person that is challenging Stewart right now. If it was my team and my rider did that, regardless of how bad I wanted my guy to win the title, he would be gone. It’s just not cool or very professional.

  • SpeedwayGuy Says:

How many chances in 2008 did a Honda rider have to take Reed out of the points chase at the end when he and Windham were fighting over the title? Didn’t see it happen one time! Ride Red and Ride Clean the motto over there? Championship is earned not stolen. Looks like San Manuel team got the first scalp!

  • ... Says:

Really what Kyle did is nothing new. Teams are ready for this sort of thing. im not going to talk bad about either JBS or CR. They are both professinal athletes, and probably some of the best competitors on the planet. But back to my point. I guarantee that the entire Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team tells Mike Alessi the same thing the San Manuel told Kyle. If JBS is coming up behind you, you do everything you can to keep him behing you to give Chad a chance to either catch/pass Stewart or open up his lead further. Thats how the game is played between championship teams. Im not saying its right, and Im not saying its wrong. It is simply how racing goes, and no ammount of fines or rules changes by the FIM or AMA is EVER going to change “team tactis”. Thats just racing, and I am sure both James and Reed understand this.

  • kenny Says:

the neck grabbing thing was a lame excuse to get attention. Reed “grabbed” Stewart very softly and it’s obvious that it was nothing more than to get his attention to discuss dirty riding. Next thing you know nobody will be able to shake hands after the race. There is no denying stewarts riding ability-he’s brilliant on a bike-but he’s also careless. He has shown on many occasions that he forgets others are on the track with him. Windham at A-1. Preston and tedesco in the past. When he does stupid stuff the consequences are more serious than trading paint in a corner. Now about Kyle at Utah. If it was on lap one or two then it could maybe be concidered a mistake. On about lap 15 when you know your lines it’s no longer a mistake. It’s intentional. Kyle should have rolled the jump to stay clear of the race. I’m sure Kyle hears Larry talk crap about reed all the time and wants to please the boss. Larry needs to check his boys and publicly apologize for “his” riders mistakes.

  • Jamaica MX Says:

I;m watching the Vegas round at your theater!

  • Spellman481 Says:

I was at the race and have the video on my camera and as for chisholm hitting stewart that did not happen. From what I saw in person and on my camera Chisholm hit Reed on purpose. He was in complete control of his bike. As a result of the hit Reed was not slowed down at all and still had no chance of catching Stewart. GO STEWART.

  • J.B. Says:

    Well put!!!!

  • J.B. Says:

You need to go back two corners and watch from there. Kyle all but stops as js goes around and cr is next to him. Then he guns it like a mad man and takes the inside all the way to the middle of the corner. He clearly saw him. If kyle is as great as everyone who knows him says he is, it makes the whole thing more fishy, like a team move and not an individual move.

  • CoryMXMichigan812 Says:

    Shit happens that’s racing!

  • kenny Says:

ps. The irony is that brooks has been quite critical of lappers this year, surely because he wanted them out stewarts way, then his own rider pulls a bonehead move like this.

  • dgizzy Says:

All this is BS. Jlaw is way worse than Chisolm and his license is not stripped. vesides AMA did nothing about the neck grab so it is what it is. Bubba is faster and has points lead. Right now its Bubba’s race to lose. He can let chad win and get the title but knowing Bubba he prolly gonna try to pass then Chad will play dirty

  • Anonymous Says:

i watched the video over and over cause i couldnt believe it and i have to say that if chisholm would have keept his bar straigth he would not have hit reed BUT NO HE EVEN FOLLOWED HIM AROUND THE CORNER!! what was he Thinking? I`M GONE GET YA? OH HER WE GO! DAM ALMOST MIST YA!

  • iowa boy Says:

kyle chisholm got a bad rap chad reed cant beat stewart on a good day maybe stewart should start backwards to give him a chance

  • Spanky Says:

I hate bubba and reed, but I want reed to win… however, if you watch it in normal time, it is my opinion that chisholm was out of control, you can hear him panic revving and I believe it was and accident, he just shouldn’t have been trying to do the on-off that close to them. I just wish the GOAT would come back and lay wood on all of these bitches.

  • holdmydill300 Says:

i wonder what would happen if it was J-Law insted of Chisholm??? what do u think?

  • Lion35 Says:

Ok I have been reading these comments for the past couple of days and this is what I think of it.
    1. Do you really think that a team who has more wins than any other team (by a large amount) would risk everything and plan this.
    2. Reed would have to beat JS two races in a row???? Not going to happen just check how many rounds and how many wins. If I had those odds I would quit work and live in a casino.
    3. I do think that chishom made a huge bone head move and should be suspended/fined.
    4. All of you idiots that say that they should even up the points and let it come down to vegas are out of your mind. If thats the case just give the championship to JS because he has way more wins.
    5. Chad was handed the title in A1 when JS had a DNF. If he had rode as hard as he has the last couple of weeks earlier in the season he may have pulled out another win. He didn’t and now the championship is slipping through his fingers.

  • Anonymous Says:

This is the worst B.S. apology I have ever seen

  • Back Seat Says:

Probably the best take so far. However, I have said all along that CR is going to have to pull the bump and grind sooner or later because his time to make up points is running out. And he did ! and it was awesome because that is racing. He did what he had to do and it wasn’t over the top. It was exactly what racing is. Now as far as Chisholm gunning and Team San Manuel gunning for Reed ? I would like to think “not” just a stupid ass mistake by a no namer thinking he was gonna help. Way dump ass because JS most likely didn’t need it as I have been saying from the beginning. “The only one that will beat Stewart is Stewart. I just like the rest of you wanted to go into Vegas tied up for a bar banging grinder to the finish winner take all. Its unfortunate what happened but don’t think it would have changed the out come and won’t believe for a minute that JS had anything to do with the Dump Ass move. Like the Stones say “you can’t always get what you want” War Stewart taking Vegas !

  • Can't Wait For Vegas!! Says:

The neck thing doesn’t even apply in this situation, that’s a whole different argument, and only Chad Reed and James Stewart know exactly what went down after that race. And as far as “Reed had it coming”… please… he’s racing for a championship with someone who is indeed faster in the long run… He’s racing to win, and so is Stewart.. How about the bumping that was going on in Jacksonville, both Reed and Stewart had questionable moves. When Reed slams Stewart off the track flat on his face then you can b*@#h. Now don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of both Reed and Stewart, but personally I’d like to see Reed take it, although it does look just out of reach now. Now as far as This whole Salt Lake incident goes… Chisholm was in the wrong. I rewound it many times on my T.V. and..
    1.Chisholm never hit Stewart!

2.Coming into that 180 it was a step on step off… and if you watch, Reed is clearly already in front of Chisholm (and in his view) before Chisholm lands on top of the table top… he could of easily locked it up rolled off the step off and hugged the very inside. Instead he did the step on step off and then locked up… But if you pay attention, yes Kyle locked up, but he keeps heading right for Reed!!

3.Chisholm makes contact with him just after the half way point of the turn!!

4.He was aiming for him… period.

5.Yes, I’m sure if he wanted to park him he could of.

6.But, it could have all been avoided before even entering the corner…

As for this apology… no surprise, why would the Brooks or the team tell the truth, why not just do what every other team does… blow smoke up everyone’s A$%. It’s just like the illegal gas situations… O, the team had no idea! Give me a break..

Anyway, Vegas.. It’s On!! And hopefully Alessi makes the main this time…. Think about it. Just as Alessi’s image has been restored, a great opportunity has been presented!! Throw that wrench boy!

  • Scrubadubdub Says:

Why is Jizzohlm even in the SX class? Total basement dweller, who probably won’t be in the class next year nor should be. Can’t get famous on his own, so he tucks his weener between his legs and tries to take Reed out… Empathy ? Millions of dollars are at stake, a Championship in the US series, and its all washed away by some Never Was. Pretty fishy that out of all lappers like stated above, the guy who is on L&M bombs Reed >.< Brooks totally pulled the strings to make that happen, we all know his story in racing…………………………..

  • grimreapersupra Says:

Thats bull crap! he didn’t mean to do it my butt! He wasnt on the brakes watch his front tire. he did that absolutely intentionally and if you say anything else you need a mental evaluation. whole team should be fined and stewart should be hit with a point deduction. I hope this week alessi accidently puts stewart off the track! come on thats what this is gonna do. this nobody is a pro-rider what are the chances? you can ram somebody and say Oh my bad my brakes didnt work! Stewart your lucky im not on that track i would put you into a metal gate just like that poor kid sent to the hospital from stewart during PRACTICE a few years ago.

  • cr318 Says:

This is the lamest penalty I have seen from the AMA or FIM. If you ride a motorcycle at all you can clearly see in the replay that Chism was spotting his line and not lining up to punt Reed. Take a look at how Lawrence punted hepler in jacksonville. It’s very methodical and calculated move and difficult to pull off cleanly w/o going down. Chism was just clearly over his head in that corner with poor track conditions. Also if you were to look at his heat race, earlier in the evening, he took the exact same line when James lapped him. There was nothing malicious about it, maybe reed just needs to step up to the pace of stewart. IMO Reed should be paying homage to Chism for giving him an excuss as to why he lost the title. What I believe is most detrimental to the sport of motocross is Chad Reed running his mouth on the podium and threatening another riders safety. Let’s apply the same rules across the board… we race to leave what we have on the track!

  • Chris Says:

Wow Reed had no shot at winning this championship either way. The only time he is a champion is if RC and James aren’t there, those are the facts and nobody can deny them….Bridesmade his entire career. Cry and go back to Australia and play aussie rules football

  • Back Seat Says:

Hey grimweaper. Wake up. It wasn’t Stewart who did the stupid move. And you are lucky your not on the track. Because your lower lip is stuck in your chain. Relax, Opera comes on at 3:00. Dude, put your c pipe down.

R U KIDDIN’ ME !!!??? Before all that SH!!!T was going on,Stewart was having trouble kepping up with, and passing Reed.Reed was having,”THE RIDE OF HIS LIFE”!!!Yes Reed did bump Stewart, but if it were”INTENTIONAL”,Reed would have put him into the tuff blocks and off the track.I clearly can see Reed steering back right to give Stewart room.He even got off the gas just a bit.I too recorded the race.Slow-mo replayed from the time Chisholm pulled over.”He even turned his head to see em’ coming”,Waited for leaders, lets Stewart by,Reed right behind him,but pulls out in front of Reed. Then rides like hell to catch Reed in the next corner.Did he forget he was “DEAD LAST”!!!and “LAPPED”!!!DID NOT hit Stewarts tire,I know this because my 1080p 52″ “VERY” HIGH Defenition Panasonic Viera with 600mhz motion blurr,DOES NOT LIE!!! OH,did I mention my DVR can also panoram the view up to,and including 360 degrees.Only 180 for the race replay.ANYWAY,He was at least a foot or more from Stewarts tire.He DID NOT TURN UNTIL HE SEEN HE WAS OFF HIS MARK FROM HITTING REED!Did’t even let off the gas until after he hit the brakes. They were NECK TO NECK UNTIL THAT HAPPENED.Totally blew Reeds drive for the race.I think they are both CHAMPIONS.It don’t matter, win or lose…They are “BOTH” among the BEST riders in the world!!! Vegas is gonna be GOOOOOD !!!

  • Simmons Says:

Kyle Chisholm is a piece of human garbage with morals. Reviewing the video numerous times one can tell without a reasonable doubt that Chisholm tired to take out Reed. Chisholm is a dishonorable person and any team that knowingly Chisholm on their team is not honorable.

I like Steward and Reed but if I had to pick who I want to win now, I pick Reed. Before “Chisholm”, I would not have cared who won — I just wanted to see a good race between Reed and Steward. Now, hopefully Karma will prevail and Reed will win.

As for Chisholm, he needs to leave the sport. No place in this sport for a person like him.

  • Sizzler Says:

So many of you are just arm chair sports posers. If you only knew what these guys are dealing with. Kyle, I feel bad for you mate. Brooks, you should look back on your riding years to remember what it was like and not destroy a young rider for your kudos. Too bad this had to mess up a great race series. I was planning on heading to Vagas, but forget that now.

grimreapersupra, you are my inspiration for writing this. I would love to see a poser like you rider a lawnmower, yet alone a supercross bike. You have to get at lest a little close to the speed of the rider you are trying to take out! lmao!

Now we will never know and anyone who rides will know that James Stewart’s team used dirty tactics to seal the deal. Who wants to watch a superbowl lost to a bad call? This is our superbowl and the FIM - AMA need to bust out the book to make it fair. I hope we all stand up and call for whats right….. VEGAS - POINTS EVEN - HEADS UP…. Kyle Chisholm FOREVER banned from professional racing.

i just hope bobo “bubba” ends up having another vegas finally like he did a few years ago on his 125 when he flipped a hundred times over the finish. that was greatness in the making.

reed is going to get what he has coming reed is the dirtiest rider in supercross last couple races when he relized he couldn’t match stewarts speed he started passing hard and trying to take stewart out he need’s to ride dirty because he can’t shed a couple pounds and practice more and this whole Kyle Chisholm thing you weren’t him so you have no idea what really happend i have a dvr also so i kept replaying it and there wasn’t a camera on Kyle Chisholm at the correct time for us viewers to tell if it was a mistake and all it did was give you reed fans something to blame his loss on wake up face it sterwart made the clean pass and had the race won regardless of the Kyle Chisholm thing and if he was really trying to help out his team than two thumbs up and lets rewind back to last year at detroit when reed was in the championship fight with windham reed a lap down getting ready to be lapped by windham who was in a fight for the lead and a whole lot of points let me replay it for you reed got the flag to get out of the way because the leaders were coming through so he let the leader davi by then put the block on windham and ran him high into the corner where was the black flag there or any fines and that didn’t seem to bother you reed fans so in my book i hope that the Kyle Chisholm thing was on purpose and reed got a taste of his own medicine so stop putting down Kyle Chisholm he did the same thing reed has done to another and good luck to reed and stewart in las vegas they both deserve it

you should watch i little more supercross
Kyle Chisholm FOREVER banned from professional racing. whats that? if he was banned than fim would have to banned reed for the same tactics in the past and we do know that sterwart had the race won the only difference is is sterwart waited to make good clean passes without taking reed out reed on the other hand wanted to take sterwart out because he can’t match hais speed so once sterwart made the pass and got out front it was over for reed and you all know if that was sterwart instead of reed that Chisholm got he would have cought rite back up to reed and and made a pass or put in a good battle

give me a break!! NFL cheating, stealing signs etc.sounds familiar to me.

Let’s compare apples to apples. Stewart has beaten Reed 100% of the times when he hasn’t fallen down, and even half of the times that he did, (especially last year), he was still able to come back and beat Reed. I remember watching bubba fall twice only to come back through the pack. Has chad ever done that? NO! The only Championship Chad Reed won were the ones when carmicheal got hurt and could not finish the season, and when stewart got injured last year and was out.

Let’s be honest about this whole kyle chisholm bumping into reed thing. It slowed chad down(1.7 seconds) a lot less than reed slowed stewart down earlier when he ran him off the track into the top blocks(almost 4 seconds), but stewart was still able to not only catch chad, but pass him CLEANLY inside and finish with more than a 4 second lead over reed. On lap 19, at one point, stewart was 7 1/2 seconds ahead of chad. You can’t blame it on a bump in reeds back tire, that was wrong, but would not have had an outcome in this race.

I can only hope that alessi, who did not even make the main last week, stays out of this battle, and let james and chad race their race. That is what the fans want to see. If stewart wins tonight, cleanly, than all of this whining and complaining was all for nothing. Reed is a whiner at times, and it appears that a lot of his fans are also!!

Amen to that. I was at the slc race and sat almost directly in front of that section where it happened. The whole incident didn’t even catch my attention. The gap was not widened all that much because of Chisholm’s interference. Glad to see that Stewart could put up with Reed’s dirty racing last night at Vegas. Honestly, what kind of person would feel good about themselves after winning a championship after forcing his opponent off the track to try to make him crash? The best man truly did win this year!

man everyone is so mad at kyle.
but everybody talkin shit knowss they have helped or tried to help out a team mate when your not in a winning position or sumthin like that. he obviosly made a little mistake but what nobody wants to talk about is how much disagreement and beef between chad reed and L&M racing because they wouldnt raise his pay roll and then it ultimantly resulted in them dropping his cry baby ass and signing a real rider ready to win.
i know reed personally and kyle. reed is an asshole an him and kyle have had arguments and stuff like this before. so i think it was a little too much too not let kyle race the last round in vegas. but the black flag was justifiable. so my main point is that when your an asshole like reed people are gonna be out there gunning for ya. and larry brooks is a great team manager for all you haters out there. even tho he may not b full factory but he has a championship under his belt and a great team. bottom line
