The Up-And-Up | Traders Racing

At each round of Monster Energy Supercross, there are hundreds of racers all vying just to make it into the night show, but only few can hit the mark that grants them the opportunity to ride under the lights. At the last few rounds of east coast action, Traders Racing, a small team out of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, began to find their groove with riders Tony Archer and Chad Wages. Team owner Gary Luckett uses his restaurant, Traders Seafood Steak & Ale, to support his program as well as a lot of other local pros and nearly 25-30 local amateurs every year. As a former racer and a father of two boys in the amateur ranks, Luckett simply likes to give back to a sport he is passionate about, but his effort has started to pay off with Archer and Wages qualifying for night shows and nearly making some mains. We recently had a chance to catch up with the team in Detroit to find out more about the privateer program.
