We spotted Suzuki testing out what appears to be an early 2010 RM-Z250 fitted with fuel injection. With an aluminum tank, and body stylings like its bigger brother, this RM-Z was hard to miss. Check out some photos and stay tuned for another exclusive video of the little thumper in action.

Does anyone know when the 2010 suzuki will be released?
I want that bike! I currently got an 08 kx250f, but DAMN I want a fuel injection bike!
March 12th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
carburetor is visible but still looks sick
March 12th, 2009 at 3:35 pm
dude i dout that makes to much difference or any at all i mean ktm450sxf puts out more power than any other bike and is not EFI and cool pics
March 12th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
That’s likely the throttle body. On EFI bikes, there’s a fuel pump mounted on the bottom of the tank, and a throttle body in the same place where the carb once was on carbureted bikes. On the EFI RM-Z450, Suzuki uses the aluminum tank to hold/support the larger fuel pump, and in these photos, the bike is equipped with an aluminum tank, likely for the same reason.

HOPEFULLY THE NEW 2010 RMZ 250 IS COMPLETLY CHANGED FROM THE GROUND UP CUZZ THEY WERE GETTING PRETTY RUDICULOUS GOING ON 2 YEARS BEING UNCHANGED! EXCEPT FOR SOME SWEET NEW GRAPHICS! HAHAHA NOT!!!
March 12th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
My Kawi dealer by me said the 2010 kx250f was getting efi last year, so it doesn’t surprise me that suzuki would do the same.
March 12th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
it needs gold rims…excel rimz would be nice Suzuki…Please!!!
March 12th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
Less bog when you go wide open out of a turn.
March 12th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
Hey it does look like it is still has a carb… I think in the recent economy Suzuki is going to give us BNG instead a EFI…
The rider is Rich over rated Taylor…
March 12th, 2009 at 4:16 pm

March 13th, 2009 at 12:12 pm
you suck serpentmoves its rocks
March 13th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
ill bet you a new bike, there is not a carb on this bike!
March 13th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
No… it’s the throttle body. Look a little closer at the picture. On top that there is only one breather hose coming out of the bottom of the bike.
March 13th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
I took the photo, blew it up and there’s an EFI throttle body there for sure boys. No question, that’s no FCR! The real benefit is going to be jetting. I ride from the valley floor to 6,000 ft elevation and it will be worth every penny! The real question is: did they take what they learned from the 450 and give this a winning powerband? I’ll let them play with it a year or 2 b4 I dive in. Let them fix the problems first. 2nd and 3rd generation technology is always better!
March 13th, 2009 at 8:01 pm
I bet its Honda’s EFI parts. Just like they tested it on the rmz450 08.
March 13th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
get ris of the black wiht white, looks awesome
March 13th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
This whole dirtbike thing has turned into a joke. How did dirtbikes go from fun toys to EFI junkers, and 240 pound pieces of crap!!!!! Just keep adding weight why dont we.
March 14th, 2009 at 3:53 am
Its definitly a EFI on that one. You who says it has a carb are probably looking at the condensor that sits under the throttlebody
March 15th, 2009 at 9:38 am
lol i clicked on the first link, for the video, and i got error 404 link not available.. hahaha twmx.. what a joke. By the way, i love wieners.
March 15th, 2009 at 8:59 pm

March 29th, 2009 at 5:18 pm
its a throttle body dudee
April 8th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
boys, thats not a cabie, 2 reasons! if u save the pic and zoom it u will see its a throttle body! check the choke out! and wheres the fuel line? thats right efi here boys!! and they dont put a crappy alloy tank on for the fun of it!
April 8th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
PS a throttle body is lighter than a carbie! stop winging about evolution or go ride ur 1991 2 stroke crapper! for them who ridin a efi bike will understand this is a massive leap in a forward direction!
April 9th, 2009 at 2:35 am
when will they be released?
May 4th, 2009 at 3:07 pm

GO CHAD REED
May 12th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
I will take FI over cleaning carbs and jetting anyday. Someone needs to come out with a $200 pitbike version they will sell a ton of them. Can you imagine a Drz110 with FI and full suspension? that would be awesome.
May 15th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
Efi only changes the starting of the bike their will be little power gain if any. You idiot.
May 19th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
ill be ordering mine today!
May 27th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
not that i'm not a fan of suzuki or fuel injection
but don't you guys think that this efi thing is fixing a problem that doesn't really need fixed?
May 28th, 2009 at 12:32 pm
def efi no hoses out the bottom apart from breather same as my 450 efi
June 2nd, 2009 at 1:23 pm
simplesmente fantastica………………………a suzuki vai ser a mota do futuro
June 19th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
the ktm may have more power but what is the good of power when you cant control it
July 17th, 2009 at 4:29 am
Lol sounds like ur jealous of 4-strokes… maybe u got a crapload of roost in your face from an EFI450 and ur riding ur little slow 125 dont get me wrong i like 2-strokes but i like 4-strokes better, I have a friend who rides a 250 2-stroke, and now he's thinking about getting a 4-stroke, so take that foot out of ur mouth now, and remember dont stop buying 2-strokes espically 1ce u c yamaha's rhumord bike : )
July 17th, 2009 at 4:30 am
I agree
August 30th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
suzuki is the futur my friends
September 6th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
I thought bridgestone stopped making mx tires?
September 12th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
i agree. EFI doesnt have as much power as carbureted, it just makes the bike run smoother with less dead spots
October 1st, 2009 at 8:27 pm
this guy is retarded!!!
November 12th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
how about not 4 strokes lay out the most horse power and torque
November 12th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
you stupid! first off ktm 450f dosent lay out out the most power.. i will hate to admit it caz i love suzuki, but yamaha and porbly kawasaki have the most powerful 450f out! 2nd off fuel injection does give some more power an helps bottom end power, so you wont be bogging out in the sand or nothing.. Fuel injection is definetly the way to go!
