Moderate temperatures (for June in Texas) greeted riders and fans alike this morning at Freestone County Raceway. The third round of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Nationals was groomed to perfection with deep loam and sand, which meant as soon as the riders hit the track, ruts and roost were everywhere. As the track began to develop, Texas is shaping up to be one heck of a race. Points leaders, Mike Alessi and Ryan Dungey, so far have the fastest lap times in their respective classes but this race is still anyones’ game.
