Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve given you an up-close-and-personal look at the Supercross machines of Jason Lawrence and Travis Preston. Today, we’re venturing into the other side of our sport and showcasing Robbie Maddison’s Yamaha YZ250; the same bike he jumped on top of, and off of, the Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve…

i’ve got a 2006 yz 250 with the sss forks and shock and it is awsome compared to my old 450, like they say “factory suspension on a showroom bike. “they aren’t lying”
i recently switched from a 2003 crf 450 and the two stroke is def a better all around bike
the magazines definitely convinced me to get a two smoke and i could’nt be happier
tahnks transworld for making my riding mroe enjoyable than it already is
how come pro circuit does the engine work but doesn’t supply the pipe and silencer for maddos’ bike???

January 22nd, 2009 at 2:54 am

Are you on crack Levi? That is a 09 yz250!
January 22nd, 2009 at 8:38 pm
yes. I can’t figure that out either. somebody please respond.
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:54 pm
Pretty funny, Levi is the only one who got that the YZ is an ‘05! At least the suspension and the brake rotors are… what’s up with that? Just goes to show you can’t believe everything you read…
January 23rd, 2009 at 2:03 pm
what is the make of his seat cover
January 23rd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
you can view full caption by going full screen and then scanning down with ur mouse on the caption. at least that worked for me.
Pretty much a bike anyone could have, but still nice. if the manufacturers put half the effort into developing the two-strokes, we all know they would dust the thumpers.
January 23rd, 2009 at 7:16 pm
that dude is running stock suspension thats mint bet its set hard as f..k
January 24th, 2009 at 12:08 pm
i think it may be for where those levers are attached for when he does like ruler flips, you know the arm stops to keep him in control of the bike meh, i think thats it at least.
January 24th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
what are the black stickers on the frame and the upper forks?
looks like grip stuff, but why would he have some of it on the forks?
January 25th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
lol. just to help you out in the future.. if you need help finding something like this again, just google the manufacturer and the item… so google “GPR steering stabilizer” and you should find it
January 25th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
wow. i never thought that i would see such a stupid comment. in my entire lifE!. please, like my mother always tought me.. if you dont have anything semi-intelligent to say, dont say anything at all
April 14th, 2009 at 7:58 pm
they are grip stickers like padded, they got them on the forks for cliffhangers etc.
