Las Vegas SX 2012: Practice

Timed qualifying has come to an end at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. To combat the desert heat and sun, the crew has liberally applied water to the Nevada hardpack and the track has developed ruts and puddles in various sections. The track is technical and jumpy, with steep faces on nearly every jump. The two triples pitch the racers higher in the air than an other round of the 17 stop tour.

Ken Roczen topped the charts against the Lites class with a lap time of TK over Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson. Both GEICO Powersports Honda champions, Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia, finished lower on the timing charts than many expected.
