In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
TWMX test rider and two-stroke ripper extraordinaire Ryan Surratt has been getting those gate-drops through the summer following his rookie Supercross season, just not here in the States. Surratt has been contesting the 2017 Canadian Motocross Championship for the first time in his short professional career, and he’s been showcasing some impressive speed. The Kawasaki rider has logged several top five finishes – including two career best 4th overalls – with his worst result being a 6th overall. The #338 has also shown a tremendous amount of consistency, which can be attributed to the hard work he puts in every week with his trainer BJ Burns of MX University.
Surratt is a naturally gifted rider that in my opinion has shown a lot of potential for a bright future as a motocross racer, so it would be great to see him with some added support come the 2018 season. The So.Cal native is currently sitting fourth in points in the MX2 championship, so let’s see what he can do through the latter half of the series.
