In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Trey is back! And judging by this shot that I captured yesterday, he’s looking mighty comfortable. Canard has a very textbook riding style that can be easily portrayed even in still photographs, so I’ve always enjoyed shooting the Oklahoma native because quite frankly he’s an easy subject to shoot. However, he’s had a forgettable year due to a number of injuries that have kept him on the sidelines, but the #41 is back in action and already fine-tuning himself and his machine for his return to racing, which may come at the 2017 Redbud National – one if his favorite racetracks on the circuit.
Despite the 100 degree heat, Trey was nice enough to sit down with me for a quick interview – which you can read here – following a very long day of testing at Pala Raceway to discuss his return to racing, and I have to say that it’s great to see the Red Bull KTM rider in the saddle again; especially since he’s one of the nicest guys in the pits. Canard has proved in the past that he has what it takes to be a front-runner, so we’re looking forward to seeing another premier class star thrown into the mix.
