In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
We’re only three rounds into the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, and it already seems like we’ve seen more racing action at these initial three rounds than we did throughout the entire 2016 season, and it’s likely because it’s not the usual riders winning ever single weekend. However, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac is still the man that everybody tries to keep in their rearview mirror, but he’s been faced with his fair share of adversity so far in the series with a damaged front brake at round two and a crash at round three.
These inconsistencies have opened the door for a number of other riders – which has made the racing that much more exciting – including RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki’s Justin Bogle and Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM’s Blake Baggett. Both riders enjoyed their first premier class outdoor moto wins this past weekend in Colorado at the 2017 Thunder Valley National with the #4 even taking home his career-first overall victory.
Since we’ve already seen this many surprises thus far in the series, you can’t help but wonder what will happen next…
