In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Many of the nations top mini athletes converged onto Milestone MX Ranch to do battle at the Second Annual TWMX Mini Major, and after bearing witness to this weekend’s pool of talent over a three day period of non-stop racing, it’s safe to say that the sport of motocross has a very bright future. Every class had it’s standout riders including the Pee Wee and 65cc age groups along with Supermini Open and Supermini 2 that seemed to grab the most attention. The Supermini classes typically house the oldest of the “mini” racers, as this is their last step before moving up to the more powerful big bikes, so you’d better believe these kids know how to haul the mail on a dirt bike.
Kawasaki’s newest amateur recruit Dilan Schwartz was amongst those top speedsters, and the number 74 also possesses a riding style that’s ahead of his years. Schwartz’s aggressive, yet smooth riding led him to the overall in Supermini 2 after fending off Amsoil/Factory Connection/Honda’s Carson Mumford and fellow Kawasaki teammate Stilez Robertson.
