In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Last weekend, we celebrated the third running of the Annual Transworld Motocross Trans Am, presented by MTA Distributing, by heading back to the site of last year’s three day event for another fun-filled weekend of racing. Glen Helen Raceway played host to the 2017 TWMX Trans Am and we were thrilled to head back to the San Bernardino County facility for a second consecutive year, as the 2016 event was a total success for everyone involved.
Southern California experienced a bit of rain throughout the week leading up to the weekend’s racing and even a little bit on the morning of day two, which obviously made for some messy track conditions. Shooting in the mud can be a complete pain in the ass sometimes, but on the other hand it can make for a cool, dramatic effect as the riders dodge the roost from their competitors while searching for every bit of traction they can find. KTM’s Mike Sleeter demonstrates perfectly in this image as he fends off TLD/Red Bull/GoPro/KTM’s Mitchell Falk while simultaneously going after Japanese pro Takumu Yokosawa.
