In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Weston Peick’s performance through the first half of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship has been great, considering the circumstances that the AutoTrader.com/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki rider faced at the start of the year. Peick suffered a lacerated kidney and broken wrist in one hard crash at the 2017 Glendale SX, and this put him on the sidelines for the rest of the SX season. With some help from the team’s doctor, Peick managed to get more mobility into his arm and wrist just in time for the start of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
Fast-forward to the 2017 Muddy Creek MX, where Peick pushed to the front of the pack for fourth place finishes in both motos and fourth overall. This is just another solid day for the privateer turned factory racer, and a major reason why he’s become so popular with fans around the country.
