In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
This is always a hectic time of year for racers, as many are still scrambling to finalize their deals for the 2017 racing season; especially since the series is set to kick off in less than two months. This year though, there have been a tremendous amount of changes when it comes to riders, race teams and everything in between, and for the first time in seven years, Josh Hansen will line up on something other than a Kawasaki.
Josh and I had been in contact earlier this week to line up a day to shoot some photos on his new ride, but it wasn’t until the end of our conversation that he revealed to me that he’ll be riding Husqvarna motorcycles next season. I have to admit that it was kind of a trip to see Hansen on something other than a green bike, but the number 100 looked right at home on his new Austrian machine. “Hanny” had been a member of the green team for nearly eight years, and he enjoyed race wins on several occasions while riding for Mitch Payton’s Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad back in 2010 and 2011.
I’m really excited for the upcoming Supercross season, and I can’t wait to see how everything goes for Hansen and Team 100.
