With only two more rounds remaining in the 2009 Monster Energy Supercross series, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/Yamaha’s James Stewart now holds a slim three point lead in the overall points standings over rival Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Chad Reed. After taking over the points lead in Seattle this past weekend, we caught James spinning some laps at the Yamaha test track in Corona, California. But before you say anything, yes, there is a video coming. These photos are just to get you ready for things to come. Stay tuned!

Polycarbonate helmets absorb more of the impact than those hard ass kevlar fiberglass helmets . Its been proven . So its a fact. The cheaper polycarbonate helmet is in fact safer.

Hes wearing the cheapy because he can see better out the sides???? I thought the Moto8 was top of the line!!???? Just to think, I almost wanted to order one!

i work at a shop in SD and my Bell rep came in and told me that the $150 helmet fits his head better. Apparently he and Bell are working a Moto 9 helmet with new design and better fit that the crappy moto 8.

James does’nt like the feel of the moto 8 , the cheaper line of bell helmet fits better but he is helping with the new moto 9 coming next!
Look for it to be a real bad ass helmet a la James Stewart style bubbas!!!!!

The Moto-8 is the bomb, but not everything works the same for everyone. You gotta try stuff on and see if YOU like it. I heard he just wanted a longer chin bar. I like the shorter one on the Moto-8…and the ventilation is much needed here in South Texas. He’d kick my ass (and yours) in a football helmet.

Just think about it. Kevlar makes bullet proof vests.Carbon fiber is used for skid plates and such. Now wrap that around your head and crash, you will more likely get a concussion with those materials than polycarbonate which flexes and absorbs impacts. Your all just ignorant.

Just think about it. Carbon fiber is used for making skid plates. Kevlar is used for deflecting bullets in bullet proof vests. Wrap that around your head and slam it against the ground, it wont give. polycarbonate flexes to lessen the impact. Your all just ignorant.

Why did he want a longer chin bar? I think it looks stupid as heck. The moto 8 chin bar looks alot better with the REDBULL paint job on it than the cheapy does. All I gotta say is that Bell must be paying Bubba big BUCKS to be wearing Bell Sh!t in the first place. I mean how many people go from FOX to bell comon now……….. His answer gear is pretty sick though!!
