Our Italian insider, Claudio Cabrini caught up with Italy’s superstar Antonio Cairoli while he was testing earlier today on his home soil. Cairoli will join Davide Guarneri and David Philippaerts as they battle the rest of the world on their home turf at the 2009 Motocross of Nations. Cabrini told us that Cairoli looked super fast and that his knee was clearly no longer an issue. Not only that, today was Antonio’s 24th birthday, so our best wishes go out to him. I met Caroli at the 2007 MXdN at Budds Creek and he was a little, shy guy but real cordial and nice. His bike broke and he didn't ride all that well but he still let us take a picture with him at the Washington Monument. I wonder if he's going to miss his YZ… has he ridden the 2010 YZ 450F since he's going orange next year?

its not in cremona. it is near brescia wich is about 40 miles north of cremona. cremona is a nice track
but does not life up to the track specs an mxdn requires.
yeah tony aint a model but he is rippin!!!!!! bad ass!!!!

The American team this year is pretty average considering Stewart and Villapoto are out…Im an Aussie my self and cant be happier at the serious chance we have at the cup this year considering we have, Reed, Byrne, and Metcalfe which are all very strong riders…America has dominated for too long at mxon so it will be good to see them fall this year as its bound to happen….chad is stronger than ever and Michael is such a strong and consistent rider and Metcalfe is the battle king……GOOOO AUSTRALIA…….

Italy doesnt have a chance of winning with their MX2 rider David Guarneri. He is an average rider for a PRO.

Tony is the best rider that europe have at this moment , and is for sure fast like Villopoto and Alessi in US .

I would not be so quick to discredit the Americans. Australia will be tough this year with the way Chad is riding, and he has a very solid team of Metty and Burner. I would pick them as the favorite. The track might favor the U.S, from what ive seen and read it more "supercross" style then Gp which should help the Americans out. Dungey should be quick as should Weimer in MX2. Ivan has been the "weak link" for the other american teams, but always does what he needs to for the overall American Victories . Americans may not win very many motos…if any, but overall are strong throughout. Like i said though this look like Australia's to lose, americans in a close second.

Cairolli tries to take out people all the time. his patented off the gate blocks and him hitting stewart. he was a punk to his competitors in years past. didnt he say he had nothing for villopoto at budds creek? moto after moto? yet said the track was amazing?

no disrepect….i think cairoli is dope….and people are right….he’s definately quick…..but so are dungey and hot sauce….and wiemer will pull it off…i think it’s usa vs. australia….if italy had a dope mx2….that would be cool…and too bad the crafty french are getting repaired….should be a great race…

Probably we (Italy) won't win but I am sure that Tony is gonna kick a lot of asses in the race. He is the fastest rider in Europe and I bet he would do good in the National….
