Bakersfield, Calif., June 9, 2009 – Cernic’s Suzuki/AXO/Dunlop racer Sherri
Cruse had another fantastic race at Round Three of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA
Women’s Motocross Championship, held at Freestone Raceway, in Wortham, TX
this past Saturday, June 6th. Cruse finished 2nd overall and put herself in
a tie for third in the women’s pro championship point standings.

The women took the track at 3:00 pm for the first moto. 20-year-old Sherri
Cruse, from Bakersfield, CA, got a mid-pack start, moving through the pack

with a third place finish.
In the second moto, Cruse got a better start, passing several riders early
on, moving into second place by mid moto where she stayed for the remainder
of the race. Sherri picked up her second podium of the season, second
