I am on a little bit of a tight budget, but i want to get some neck protection. I dont know if i should buy a EVS, becuase i can affourd that one…or Wait till next spring or summer to buy a leatt brace or a-stars one..Could any one also explan the difference between them, and why the EVS is so much cheaper then the other two..Thank you

My $.02 is this, buy the Leatt. I got tired of waiting for the EVS, and the Alpinestar is quite a bit pricier. You shouldn't wait to pick one up, hey, it's not that pricey. Make the sacrifice somewhere else. Wait on the new pipe or whatever else. The way I see it is that if you wait a month to save a buck, then brake your neck, it wont seem like such a great deal. I have worn my Leatt with chest protectors, pressure suits, and by itself. In every case I forgot it was there as soon as I was riding. Size it right and were it all the time. You wont be dissapointed.

leatt for sure, price shouldnt be a matter when it comes to saftey. plus leatt make three different models the club would bne the cheapest. but as many people say after one time using it you dont even feel it, and plus you feel a lot safer.

definitley depends on what your budget is, the evs in my opinion is no good, just a piece of plastic with a donut on it. leatt brace is good for the price, you hear people complaining about how it's breaking collar bones when they crash, that is mostley because they didnt get sized right wherever they bought it. So make sure you get the right size. The alpinestar brace is nice but way overpriced i think, it has the break away system, so if you eat it hard the brace will break at the sides so it dosn't cause and broken collar bones. but on the other hand you're out 600 bucks so that kinda sucks. But all in all protection is the most important thing when riding so you should spend what you can afford towards it, or just be a badass like rc and bubba and just don't wear one cause you're to damn good.

The A-stars is the best by far. Of course the price comes into play, but it doesn't change quality. Evs, I wouldn't know… The Leatt on the other hand, I wouldn't get one. Not until they come out with the new version that goes farther down your back.
But do we really need one? We never worried so much about breaking our necks before, and did we ever break our necks before? I don't see it as a must like everyone else.

The alpinestar was rated the worst one of all, it gives your head too much movement. The padding is very brittle and will break in your gear bag and
you have to send it back to get fixed because they dont sell parts.Then to top it all off its almost $700.00.

get the leatt.. if you on a serious budget, you might want to wait for the leatt adventure to hit the market.. it should be out in a month or so..
most of the people i know that went and bought the evs turned around and either took it back or sold it and got a leatt anyways. its the most adjustable/durable brace sold to date, and it cant be beat as of yet..
