i have been letting my bike sit for 4 months while i had to save up money to gte the parts …so i got the parts put it all back together and changed spark plug and oil and now it wont start i have been asking around and i heard it is probably the carb its a 06 kx 450f what should i do ???? do i just clean it out or what????

option:  Check your sparkplug condition, and make sure it is good / clean.


first thing:  pull the float bowl or open up bowl drain if it has one. 


[If you cannot access your float bowl, and need to pull the carb, just disassemble the carb and clean thoroughly.]


Dump your old fuel into you car. 

Run fresh fuel into your tank, open the petcock and run fuel through the line and into a catch container.


Button everything back up.


Attempt to fire off your KXF.


IF it will not fire, then it is time to pull and clean the carb.
