I am wondering what you all think should happen to him for cutting the track?!?!?!DQ'ed??? Loss of points?!?!

He was docked one position for not re-entering the track where he left it. He was fifth in results.

It's not really amazing for his part…

I've watched it several times on my DVR and he could have re-entered the track safely. He probably would've had to wait and lose a spot to I think Justin Brayton, but it would have been a safe re-entry. He didn't even look. He just shook his head and pinned it. As for a penalty, what did the AMA do to Deegan when he cut track in the outdoors in '97? He had already launched his bike at Anaheim then cut track in the Nationals. I wish I could remember the race. Docking Lawrence a position seems a little light on the penalty meter.

I agree…As harsh as the AMA is on some guys…That was a very weak penalty….

As much as I dislike JLaw, I think the penalty was fair. I am disappointed with Jeff Emig for not knowing the rules…he kept stating the rules “not gain a position,” when it is clearly “not gaining an advantage.”

He didnt gain any position! And it was a hard place to re enter on the same spot he went out? He didnt do anything stupid, ” but because is jason lawrence” people start to blame, and argue! This was nothing! Lets go on!

Thats right move on guys. you can hate on the kid but he can ride. which one would u rather have a nice guy like broc hepler that never finishes any seasaon or J_LAw?

Yeah he did do something stupid, he went beyong his limits, blew the corner and took advantage. Its dirt racing, he cut a pretty big chunk of the track, and I wouldve thought that at least a minimum of 2 positions would have been a good penalty.
Sure it was a hard place to re-enter, but he couldve at least pulled over and kinda look around or something, to prove he noticed he made a mistake, and then continue, not just get on the other side and pin it.

Im amazed thats all he got,If i did that racing chances are there would be a disquallification involved.Chad reed did the same thing and rode the outside of the track until he could renter.You cant just cut the track,those are the rules!!!

Come one ? Why argue about that? Im sure everyone else would do the exact same? Why should he wait? Did he gain anything ? No he didnt gain anything, he was in the excact position! It wasn´t like he did it on purpose? He raced, and when you racing you dont have the time to think about anything else then just racing? HE gained a 2 second or something and it was a one time ” gaine”
what should he wait for? Reed did something similiar? But in reeds part, he could run outside of the track and then renter? Jason was in a weird place to renter at all? I can agree, that maybe? He could just stop at least 2-3 seconds and then race forward ? He want to ” gain anything he can” he´s a racer? I think you guyes would do the same? Its not like he ” missed the section cause he cant do that one section? He went out, renter, and he didnt gaine any position? So why argue? He´s is not going to do that more times?
I bet if it was someone else but lawrence, people wouldnt say a thing? But because lawrence have been in trouble outside the track, and on the track, everybody is picking on him! And the rules say´s so? Why didnt AMA do anything about it then? Cause they thought the same, he didnt gain anything on it? It would be something else if it was las vegas and he and whoever lets say dungey was in a battle for 1-2-3 points and he did something like that. But this was the first race of the year? No one gained any point of one another. And if he had wait, what would he lose? more then just some seconds? If someone would passed him under that time he renter the track, i bet that he would pass that dude back in no time, he was fast as at a1,
I dont really like lawrence attitude either? But i think is a waste of time, and it was hopefully a one time accident? Why dont leave the kid alone, cause he didnt gain a f*cking thing. why not give him a penelty ? I think you guyes have to watch that section again, and then tell us, where he should renter , cause there was nobody there to take away any tuffblocks, or anything else.
If we should follow the rules? Then should many riders out there be disqualified for not renter at the same place. Actually, ” the rules say, you can not renter if you are using it to your advantage ” like ” renter ahead of somebody else? But he didnt`? So lets leave this smash, and watch the next race”! But, i say but, if it´s happen again? Then he can get punished for sure. But this wasnt something he planed to do!
Anyway he didnt get on the podium either or anything. its 7 seven rounds left. and i dont think this accident will ” effect the championship” And if they want to punish him, well we just have to wait and see. But i think it´s very fun to see how everbody hanging this thing up like it was something that had major effect on the championship or something else.

Lawernce is an idiot.He had plenty of room to re-enter and didnt. He hit a U-turn and dipped.Reed went around like you are supposed to. Lawerence had plenty of room and everyone knows it.He should of had a harsher penalty.

Rumors is that he is suspended again? ? So i guess he got he´s penalty. But in my eyes, lets move on. He didnt gain anything on it ” points way” if he had. Then he would have definitly been punished.
