So recently i went to a track, and i was trying to clear this bike step up….Its like up a hill about 40 feet then your jumping about anther 20 feeet up to the top…I can get to the top of the landing but can not clear to the landing..I noticed a lot of guys who were clearing it, were some tucking the bike to clear the extra 5 feet…I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to do this or tell me how to do this Thank you

Thats awesome man I went riding this weekend also and this track had a huge step up, it was around 45-50 feet. Anyway when I first hit it I also had the same problem you did but after a little practice I easily got it. What you need to do is get alot of speed up to the jump lean into and control yourself in the air and just keep practicing-practicing-practicing you'll get it man.

well at least yournot the only problem with this, what i like to do when i cant quite clear a step up is go fatser and faster each time i hit it. i also like to when im right at the apex(most hangtime) ill give the back brake a little tap and itl bring your back end up to clear that last little bit. try it out and good luck!

talk to somebody that is clearing the step up with the same size bike, find out what gear their hitting it at and how much pre compression as well. From expierence the seat bounce dosn't work well with step ups so exclude that.

Listen to what everyone here is saying. It really just comes down to practice and maybe getting on the throttle a bit sooner. Good luck
