I am planning on buying a new bike. Going to four-stroke now and was looking at the rmz or the yzf 250. Ive ridden suzuki ever since my first bike and never had any problems what so ever with them and a few friends own them as well. But in my familly, we also own lots of yamaha motors and found they were very reliable and a good strong running engine. So im stumped on these two companys so any personnal experiences, hits, misses and opinions with these two bikes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

well…if you get the chance definitely ride a yzf and if possible ride two examples of the bikes you're looking at relatively close together…as I've never ridden the new suzukis and it's been a long time since I even sat on a yamaha I couldn't really tell you which would be better…it seems like theres more yamaha brand loyalty up here than there is for suzuki it seems though…for what reasons? I don't know but just an observation I figured I'd throw out there…

if u get a chance to ride both rmz250 and yzf250 then that would be ur answer all bikes have there ups and downs. not all rmz and yzf have the same prob, some may brake down some may be strong, if ur racing in a high class then u need to look at how much money u plan on spending a season. yzf is a fast bike but so is a rmz. 09 is the way to go, but in my racing career i go kawasaki you get speed and performance.
