I have a 1990 Suzuki RM250 which I think it has a factory sleeve. I decided to change the piston and it was out of the serviceable limit so I ordered a piston that would bump it up to a 265cc. After taking it to a local machinist he bored it out to fit, followed piston-to-cylinder clearance spec and honed it. I installed it and ran the bike for a short 20 minutes. However, I am afraid to use this machine any further since the cylinder wasn't plated with anything. Is this machine safe to run?
