Hill and Hepler out for Seattle

Cypress California, April 17, 2009 – Due to two separate unfortunate incidents both Josh Hill and Broc Hepler will be unable to race at this weekend’s AMA Seattle Supercross.

This past Wednesday, while training in the mountains Hill suffered a severely sprained ankle that resulted in ligament damage. Josh immediately contacted his doctor and started physical therapy to make his recovery as speedy as possible. Josh is currently listed as day-to-day and his condition will be reassessed prior to the Salt Lake City Supercross next weekend.

“I still can’t believe it, I was just starting to make major gains and was really looking forward to these last three Supercross”, said Josh Hill.

On Thursday at Qwest Field while taking part in Media Day activities Broc Hepler cross rutted up the face of a triple. The resulting crash had Broc take the handlebars directly to the abdomen. As a precaution Broc was taken to the hospital for observation.

“I made a slight miscalculation on the triple. Let’s hope this is only a small hiccup and I’ll be able to return to action as soon as Salt Lake City”, said Broc Hepler.

“Obviously this is a big setback for the team,” said Jim Perry, Team Yamaha’s Factory Racing Motocross Manager, “but as always the health of our riders is a number one priority and we hope to have both riders back in action next weekend.”
