Max Sisco, 18Murrieta, CASponsors: ECC, Alias Gear, Dunlop, Crower Power, Asterisk, Factory Connection, Oakley In the corner of the pits next to his Kawasaki motorcycle, Max Sisco sat quietly awaiting his next race in the first round of the 2013 Winter Cup. His unassuming nature off the track made a sudden transformation when the gate dropped and he thundered down the start of Perris Raceway. Letting his riding make a statement, he rode aggressive and clean in the Intermediate class, racing bar to bar for the entire race in both motos of the class. Sisco has been a force in the Intermediate class in recent months, claiming the 250F Intermediate championship as well as the Schoolboy class in the TWMX Race Series Fall Cup. How did you get started racing? When I lived in New Zealand I used to watch racing all the time and I just pressured my mom and dad into getting me a bike. We moved to America when I was 10 and I eventually started racing. What inspired you to start racing?I don’t really know, but I couldn’t handle team sports and I just wanted to race. I watched racing as a kid and that’s what I wanted to do. How long have you been racing?I’ve been racing about 5 years. What have been your biggest accomplishments?
The last two years have been pretty bad for me. Probably back in 2010 when I got second in Ponca. That’s probably my biggest accomplishment. What is your plan moving forward into this year?We are going to finish the B class up until Loretta’s, then after start racing A and see what happens from there. What are your long term plans for racing?Hopefully make it into a career and make a living doing this, but I don’t really know at this point. Right now I am racing and in school. We will see after this year if I go to school or go to racing. What other things do you do besides racing?I usually go hang out with friend and ride BMX, ride my road bike. Is your road bike your primary form of training for moto?Right now it is.
