Round #2 of the West Coast Open visits Glen Helen Raceway this weekend. Transworld has engineered a one of a kind format for all it’s races which allows more riders to enter and race without taking up your entire Sunday! Beginner and Amateur Classes will race on the Amateur Track (REM as it’s known at Glen Helen) and the Novice to Pro classes will race on the world famous National Track (or Expert track per TWMXRS races). All this racing means you get the laps you want and there are over 60 classes to choose from. Typically Moto 1 trophies are being handed out by 1-1:30 pm.
Due to racing on the REM track this Saturday there will be no practice for TWMXRS riders until Sunday morning. TWMXRS will extend Sunday morning practice for riders who are racing on the Amateur track for this reason. Saturday practice will be open on the National Track so make sure to come out and get some laps on the newly laid out track which just hosted the MTA Distributing 2 Stroke World Championship!
Saturday April 22:
Open practice on the National Track 9:00am – 2:00pm – $30 per bike and spectators are free
Overnight parking is free
Sunday April 23:
Gates open at 6:00 am – Signups open at 6:30 am – Practice starts at 8:00 am and racing will follow as soon as moto’s are posted. (estimated time 9:30 – 10:00 am)
