After a successful summer on the 450–finishing eighth overall in ‘08 outdoor Nationals–Jeff Alessi has found himself a ride aboard a MotoConcepts Racing Honda for the 2009 season. Though Alessi has a gig for ‘09, it isn’t aboard the 450 like many may be suspecting. That’s right, Alessi will be competing in the Lites division; both indoors and out. We caught up with the California native recently at the MCR team intro to discuss his thoughts about his summer on the 450 and his goals and plans for the future.

ha i gaurentee he could whoop all our asses and thts why he is pro…. he gets rides cuz he doesnt have a big ego like james and is in it for money and fame now and not for the love of being on the bike. jeff is a fighter and i wish him the best of luck in west coast.
west coast is stacked this year… east coast is gonna be boring to watch i think

What’s wrong with being a little cocky in this sport?

Isn’t this the guy complaining about guys taking the spotlight from the rookie riders on the “Great Outdoors” video. Ha Ha….that’s funny!!!

The Alessi bro’s are both bad ass riders with great attitudes, they are very fast and have made the long road to the pro arena.
As far as the guy bagging on him, gotta say you prob turn a real fast lap time and gotta factory ride comming right.. If so cant wait to see Alessi yard sale you in a race.
Hope some day i get to ride with them and can be as good as them!!

wait… we cant comment that someone is slow for a pro if we arent faster than them ourselves? Jeff is fast on a dirtbike, comparatively to James Stewart and Villopoto and even his brother he is slow though, thats the point people were making. If you pay attention Bubba isnt to cocky anymore. Heck, even Ricky was cocky at first but they have kind of earned it havent they? They are the fastest men on the planet on a dirtbike, Im sure you would be a little cocky too if you could say that….

Hoobastench, You are correct. As he woud make me look like a Limp Wristed Flower Sniffer on any track, hell even a drag race.. And knowing from being in the sport 30 years the slowest pro that gets lapped every weekend flat cooks compared to us amateurs. however he is slower compared to Villopoto, Canard, Stewart, and others.. But I think (hope) it is only temporary, this could be the year he matures and he just might Kick A– in the Lites Class.(My Opinion)
