  • crf150r Says:

wats up with the shrouds?? they look stupid

  • dlo Says:

    WHERE ARE THE NEW 450'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PetRat835 Says:

Rad looking bike.. Bummer they re-designed everything and somehow forgot to put EFI on the machine… I guess one more year of dealing with jetting won't hurt.. Anyone see the EFI equipped YZF450 Larry Brooks was racing at REM a couple weeks ago? Good post.. YZ's look mean for 2010…

  • AJ247 Says:

this bike is the dumbest looking bike iv ever seen change those shrouds they make it like like a husky

  • Finley929 Says:

it looks like Yamaha to the plastics stright off of the husqvarna and slapped it on the new bike

  • johnny Says:

    Looks sick, bet it rips!

  • The Truth Says:

You all know once you see Stewart on one it'll be the greastest thing since sliced bread. But in my opinion that'll only take points away, so let the s&*^ start flying.

  • marc159 Says:

Looks great, cant wait to see the 450 now

  • rusty Says:

I think the shrouds look more like a kawi and not the husky with the two pieces. The frame looks like a honda and not last years four piece frame or whatever it was. Yamaha quietly got rid of that old frame after making such a fuss about it when it first came out. I wonder if the new frame will be on the 2-strokes. No matter the changes the yzf will still be a dog compared to the kawi motor. though I do give yamaha credit for building bikes that last longer than any other brand without a rebuild. At the shop I work at as a mechanic I see crf250s have problems more than any other bike and yamahas the least, suzuki and kawi somewhere in the middle. I think the bike looks good though with the black rims even though they look like crap the first time you race in sand.

  • billy quan Says:

this is the best guy they could get to talk about the bike? come on. this guys horrible.

  • bubba Says:

    ugly!

  • MXfun Says:

looks like Husqvarna and KTM :(

  • hypersport31 Says:

Thats because Honda sells 3 times as many bikes.. you should have a 3 to 1 ration coming into your shop.

  • mxr Says:

No, thats not right. I sell about the same number of kawasakis and hondas here in europe and my customers with the CRFs have a lot more problems with their bikes, too.

  • Goon Logic Racing Says:

I agree with AJ247 and Finley929 those shrouds are straight off a Husky. Looks like they tried going for that Euro look but turned out kind of lame going on a motocross bike. Also, instead of modding out the carb, they may as well have taken it a step further and gone with an EFI unit. New looks/features are alright IMO. Overall, based on this vid, I give it a 6.7/10. Maybe if they put a more convincing/fluent speaking rep in front of the camera who doesn't stutter, the bike would seem a lot better.

  • Goon Logic Racing Says:

Might I add it looks a helluva lot better in blue IMO. Maybe its just that white model that loos like ****.

  • Stephen Says:

    Yamaha sucks

  • braaap Says:

i hate it how every one is comlaining about how it looks like a husky/kawi.. if they kept it the same as the past models use would have bin complaining how they didnt change, give it a break guys the bike looks good!

  • SuzukiMan Says:

doesnt matter wat it looks like it matters if it can get the job done and by the sound of the motor work it can…

  • buggy Says:

    Chicken Wafers!

  • DJ Diehl Says:

GOD…….I hope this bike performs better than it looks……

what the hell were they thinking?

  • beto Says:

i CAANNNTT SEE YOUR VIIDEOOOS!! =( WHATS WRONG? DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD A CERTAIN MEDIA PLAYER OR WHAT? IM DESPERATE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO OF THE NEW 250!!!

  • meathead Says:

thats because europeans dont know how to do anything but suck!!!

  • meathead Says:

it is a yamaha so you shouldnt be expecting good looks anyway, they havent looked good in over 10 years.

  • btown249 Says:

i was thinking the exact same thing. the rear fender and side plates look like an old ktm setup and the shrouds look like a husky.

  • meathead Says:

does yamaha know their janitor rolled a bike to the side of the building and decided to do his own narrative on the new bike. seriously, whats up with gilligan here and what is he trying to pick off his hands the whole time?? hope they gave him back his mop after this stunt.

  • Analog Works Yamaha Says:

    your name says it all.

  • Analog Works Yamaha Says:

  • ko-d Says:

the first guy to put 09 plastic on it is sitting on a goldmine

  • Phil Says:

Oh you think we don´t know how to do things?
At least we can built offroad motorcycles. How many brands of bikes have you in the USofA dumbass?

  • Phil Says:

Oh you think we don´t know how to do things?

  • MotoTimbo Says:

Huh? I don't think we will see Stewart on a YZ250f.

  • matsj Says:

    i would ride it

  • bravehard Says:

who the hell filmed and edited this? the 80 some year old grandma from golden girls with parkinson's disease or my 5 year old son? i need a advil now to get ride of my headache.

  • suzirider Says:

i love when new bikes come out!!!!!

  • quikzook125 Says:

I agree. And where is the EFI?

  • pit bikes Says:

BNG again. KAw has a software and cable kit you can buy and install fuel maps on the FI. I will pass on the yam this year.

  • supermoto Says:

Bring out the 450's with the FI and supermoto option kits. Ktm has hard parts with supermoto ready to bolt on. Would be nice to see a leap in innovation every once and awhile. not just a change in the thickness of a washer here and there and a more expensive fork that is not any better.

  • Scott173 Says:

Complete tool selling the ugliest Yamaha I have ever seen! Why does the muffler still look like an uncircumsized penis??

  • The Truth Says:

you know the 450 will look the same jack ass

  • Sam Says:

they made improvments everywhere but the motor? isnt the motor the reason it looses shootouts??? I think it looks like one of those aprillas

  • yamahauler152 Says:

I WANT TO SEE THE 450! Not real crazy about the look, but it may grow on me…I'm sure the 450 will have the styling.

  • Bones Says:

how long is the valve train going to last with aluminum valve guides……

  • Cody Garvin Says:

That is Steve Butler. He was Jeff Emig's mechanic during his championship years with Yamaha. He's been with Yamaha for a very long time and knows the bikes better than anyone. They couldn't have had anyone more educated than Steve present the bike.

  • DKR Says:

    NO EFI!! LAME!!

  • kdub Says:

    is it efi

  • roy Says:

looks gay town , and why would we complaine if it stayed the same as last year ? at least it looked good last year , looks like a husky n they look like vomit

  • mikaelblomgren Says:

The shrouds destroyed this bike, Stop say " euro looking" if it was up to us european people we would change the hole husky look , but this, what is up with the yamaha japanese? The shrouds looks even worse then a husky!

  • mikaelblomgren Says:

why should we give the guyes a break? The shrouds destroyed the bikes overall cool look. Its nothing more about that, i i bet the rest of the bike works really good. I think they will change to EFI next year. btw why argue nobody on here can ride that yzf 250 to its full capability with carburator or EFI, EFI maybe good but overall i think that Yami will work good, Except the husky shrouds :P they will lose at least 2 seconds per lap with those uggly suckers on there ;) lol

  • bored Says:

Still don't know why anyone would prefer this to a CRF or KXF…

  • marc159 Says:

    i think it looks awsome

  • marc159 Says:

no….its a known fact the hondas are valve eaters

  • marc159 Says:

they r prob going to test out the efi on the 450f first rather then on both bikes, just as honda and suzuki

  • marc159 Says:

    cause crf suck

  • Vince Mullennix Says:

Its Steve Butler dude! He's no janitor

  • dude Says:

yeah, looks like wannabe ktm or husqvarna

  • sam 316 Says:

you guys who are asking for an efi bike are lame and lazy.. mechanical engines are much better than engines with much electronics on it. give this bike a chance you crazy shits. lazy and obese G.I's!!!

  • Jones618 Says:

wooow well i was thinking about getting a 2010 YZ but forget that. im sorry but yamaha ruined it this year. it looks so stupid

  • kawasaki rider Says:

    I agree

  • kawasaki rider Says:

  • BUB SCRUB Says:

THAT GUY IS A COMPLETE MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG TRANSWORLD YOU COULD GET A BUM OFF THE STREET WHO COULD TALK BETTER THAN THIS GUY!!! Or is it because he has the "AUSSIE" accent?????

    ANSWER HERE

  • ManitobaMX Says:

Thats good they have a new frame. I felt that the 2009 YZ250f handled very poorly. I came from a 2008 Suzuki and had a very difficult time switching to Yamaha. The Suzuki was a far better bike for cornering. You should keep this in mind when buying a new bike. Suspension and motor are easy to upgrade. Frame.. not so much.

  • smoto Says:

The motor and carb mods for 10's come directly from their race motor R&D. In the past the stock 250f' have been slower revving under responsive machines. Anybody who has access to factory yamaha motor mods knows how different these bikes become. The general public will be in for a nice surprise. The new ergonomics wil help to eliminate head shake and allow a more aggresive rider posture in the corners. In the past this was only accomplished by changing the offset and bar bends to suit your riders size. As for looks - well I'll take perfomance over looks any day - sorry vets.

  • Chev Says:

Everyones complaining about the looks.. its cause your living in the past! Live in the now :P! Bike looks mean!

  • shayne Says:

    wheres the 2strokes??????????????????????

  • Motoman107 Says:

Yamahas r def rediculous bleed red
