Guy Cooper | Downtime With Air Time

When the Motosport.com/GPI/Crossland Racing team rolled into Anaheim One at the start of the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross series, an unexpected person had been hired to serve as Team Manager for the growing effort. Cooper was an icon of 90s moto, praised for his unwavering bravery to fly off the biggest jumps and ability to battle with the best riders, but the new role has him ushering the next generation through the intense race weekends. The job is far different than what he had been accustomed too, especially since the sport has changed since his days on the gate, but Cooper has been impressive in his duties.

There are big things reportedly on the horizon for the Crossland Racing team, which Cooper alluded to in our short interview, so this might mean Cooper will step down from the spot to stay in Oklahoma and allow the team to set up shop in California. But that would just mean more riding days for “Air Time,” who proved during the Legends race that he can still send it off any obstacle in his path…
