With today’s bikes getting more and more advanced, producing quality engine parts has become increasingly more important. With years of experience in various motorsports including NASCAR, Supercross, road racing, and much more, JE Pistons has arguably some of the most advanced equipment needed to create some very technically innovative pistons and products. We recently had a chance to take a tour of the powerful company’s Huntington Beach, California, facility to find out exactly what goes into making one of the most important parts of a motorcycle’s engine. At seven minutes, the video is a little long, but if you like to see the inner workings of how things are made, you’ll likely enjoy it.

You should go out east and do an inside video of Wiseco too.
Along with pistons they make forged clutch baskets, I would be interested in seeing how that is done.
March 17th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
JE produces a lot of the Wiseco 4 Stroke Pistons.
March 17th, 2009 at 7:00 pm
I wonder how much their stuff cost. I use Wiseco all day.
March 17th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
JE and Wiseco are owned by the same company but produce their own pistons.
March 17th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
That place is clean and the guy knew what he was talking about i will consider JE for my next piston set keep up the good work cant wait to see more
March 18th, 2009 at 12:45 am

March 18th, 2009 at 4:38 am
I’d really like to see how they make Playboy. Can you go there next?
March 18th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
I’m sure J. Noonan made this coment…
March 18th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Yes, they are owned by the same company. And yes, JE makes some Wiseco pistons… I have seen pistons that have the Wiseco logo on them being made at JE.
March 18th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
JE and Wiseco are both owned by Dover, and certain piston lines are possibly shared between the two.
*Dover also used to own Carillo Rods, Vertex Pistons, and ProX Pistons.
March 18th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
They have both been owned by Dover for a while.
March 19th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
ouchh, what about your right one instead
March 22nd, 2009 at 7:46 am
That Noonan guy was no loss to JE. Every time I would call down there and he answered the phone I cringed. He is a cocky a’hole that has short man syndrome. (ass to close to his brain)
March 24th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Great video. JE Pistons has made all of Pro Circuit’s race pistons for years. I heard they are secretly making many of the factory teams pistons too.
