Jason Lawrence and his Boost Mobile/am pm/Monster Energy/Troy Racing team manager Chris McAvoy invited TransWorld Motocross to come check out J-Law as he finalized his Yamaha YZ450F suspension settings before heading to Indianapolis. J-Law makes his Supercross class debut this weekend, and his jump to the premier class has Internet pundits hammering away at their computer keyboards. How do you think Lawrence will do? Having seen him in action today, let’s just say that nothing would surprise us.
The video is a big one, so be patient as it loads. (”Dude, let’s make, like a seven-minute video,” said Lawrence. “Enough of these short little wimpy ones, okay?”)
And before you go a ‘hatin’ on the ending, keep in mind that Jason was in a very good mood today. To say that he’s excited about racing a 450 would be an understatement…

Yeah, very true, I may be stretching it, but with Jason, you never know. There were in history, many riders who were just as controversial in ‘cross history. Look at some in the past, and well, Lawrence isnt that bad…
BTW, it seems like the appeal Jason made to AMA, along with spectator witness evidence, about the recent scuffle at the pits, he was actually trying to breakup the fight, but, he should really not be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hasn’t anyone wanted to be a legend? I remember racing the B class and getting lapped by the guy to finish 2nd. I knew I would be nothing in mx but I knew he was going to make a name for himself. In my mind if you can be one of the five fastest people in the US(thats right I said 5 fastest)and act like your in college(21)…..thats awesome. How the hell can you not like the guy? Everyone liked Babe Ruth and didn’t part of his legend have to deal with alcohol and partying.

mooney38, if u ride and ur atleast 1/2 decent, u know, when riding a technical sx-like track and comming up to a steep face right after a sudden landing, its necessary sometimes to lean over the bars like that, it keeps ur weight centered and lessens the gforces that are vigoously trying to rip u off the back end of ur bike……(@ 4:15)

The amount of posts about this video is evidence enough that “JLaw” is not a very good role model for the kids of the sport. Controversy is something that people tend to thrive on and JLaw is full of it. His arrogant attitude sucks, and I’ve never heard anything positive from him about other riders.
Just a little example: I was at Seattle Supercross few years back, and during his podium interview, he dropped an f-bomb in front of the whole stadium. Way to go JLaw!

nobody on this website would make a pimple on j laws ass.I personally enjoyed watching every battle between him and dungey last year.I was at Indy and watched both his sessions and I saw nothing but smoothness and sick speed. He hit that wall of death so hard like it was a 70 ft. double. I was totally bummed when they said he was too sick to ride. with a good start he would have been third. and I seriosly doubt anybody that competes at that level smokes crack.
