Nobody rides the steel horse better than James Stewart. In celebration of his recent 2009 AMA World Championship, Nike 6.0 gathered retro footage of James, chronicling his journey thorough amateur racing to his status at the top. The garage punk rockers The Black Lips were commissioned to record an exclusive cover of the classic song “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys” for the video. Congratulations James. what does Nike have to do with MX anyways? Are they going to come out with Air Jordan MX boots? That would be sick cuz they would make you jump higher and farther! hahaha

I wouldn’t doubt it if Nike has riding gear (of some sorts) to transition into MX with JS7 once his Answer deal expires. He would be a great platform for Nike. Nike has done that with skateboarding and it has been a success and that crowd was so anti-Nike!

The Nike 6.0 range is targeted at “extreme sports” and I guess for Nike, James is the best person to get the brand moving in MX.

I dont know man. All im saying is it appears 90% of nike athletes are of color. I didnt see RC or Mcgrath witha any Nike product but I seen Jordan and Bubba not to mention Tiger woods. But then again most of the guys on top of their game in sports happen to be of color so it is what it is i guess.

Here we go on the race crap again. I keep hearing from people how race doesn't matter in the sport but obviously it does to some since somebody feels the need to call out the demographic pool of a sponsors' athletes. Are you kidding me? My question to you would be what percentage do the aforementioned Nike sponsored athletes make up as compared to the total number of sponsored riders in SX/MX?

I agree its funny how this race shit kees comming up!! Damn if Reed had won we wouldnt be Hearing about this shit and if any one that follows the stick and ball sports there are a plenty of white guys that are sponsored be Nike,so guys please get yr facts str8!!! I think Dungy will be on JS1 Factory bike when JS1 starts his own team..The Reed press conference was a joke,JS1 didnt have to show up for the press conference he proved his point to..SX CHAMP 09'

The only part I didn't like was how the first clip of James on his 125, it is making noise like a 4 stroke. Just picking it apart I guess.
