Frenchman Gautier Paulin scored a solid win in the second moto at the Motocross of Nations. The second moto featured the MX2 and Open classes. Italian David Philippaerts nipped American Ivan Tedesco on the last lap to earn a very popular second. Paulin’s countryman and MX2 World Champion Marvin Musquin was the top MX2-class finisher in fifth overall, while American Jake Weimer lost control on the opening lap and slammed his handlebars into his stomach. Shaken, Weimer took a spill a few moments later in a sandy section of the track before pulling in for a bit to catch his breathe. After two motos, Team France led the way, ahead of Belgium and the United States.

Yeah its easy to win a race when half the field is taken down in corners 1 and 3.
This obviously shows that they are the best. Ha

That "dude" that passed you in the end Tedesco was the fastest man on the track today. He put down a 1.58x lap time in moto 2 compared to Reed and Cairolis 1.59x. in moto 1.

cool he might have one fast lap time good for him. anyone can go out there and sprint one lap. if u said hey ivan go try and get the fastest lap time he could. but what did "that dude" get at the end of the day a good old fashion pat on the back. becasue he or his team could not put a whole race togther. mxon is about team work not just being the "fastest time"

October 5th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
the french riders were better but they had no chance (gauthier paulin crashed in moto 3) but good job team usa.

That " dude " ??? Ivan your one of my favourite riders but you could show more respect to a guy who came from about 30th place to take you on the last lap.

I agree, thats really ignorant, that "dude" that comes from the rest of the field to show you his back in the last round my dear Ivan is a former MX1 World Champion, very sad you didn't know that…
Thanks god that there is a MXON because without, a lot of people didn't even recognize that there exists other countries in the world with world class mx riders…
Peace!
