Do you remember the 1996 Denver, CO, Supercross? Probably not, but that’s not the point. The ‘96 Denver Supercross was only one race after Jeff Emig put a stop to MC’s incredible win streak. If memory serves us right, many considered the St. Louis Supercross–where Emig defeated McGrath–to be the end of McGrath’s Supercross dominance. Well, let’s take a little walk down memory lane to see what happened only a week later…

  • Forum Monitor Says:

well basically you could tell Jeremy was looking where he wanted to go, just feeling the bumps, and really soaking them up. Great job, you can tell he’s visited expert village a few times!

    all hail Mc!
boy, the track prep has come a long way, huh?

  • Anonymous Says:

MC was a man ahead of his time, even his bikes color scheme was 13 years ahead of production.

  • Anus Says:

    WTF?

The description led me to believe I was going to witness some good racing or maybe even a little drama, not McGrath riding around for 10 minutes all by himself.

Definitely my least favorite of the videos so far.

  • Ryno12 Says:

    MC your the man!!

  • Bradshaw887 Says:

MC was on the top of his game.. I respect Emig quite a bit but he didn’t have a chance to keep up with MC.

  • BOB Says:

WTF I want my 10 minutes back!

  • theoneyouliketoshutdown Says:

I have three observations that I think are really important for every up and coming racer to learn from that video:

    1. When you go down and off the track, before re-entering the race look to oncoming traffic and make sure not to take a rider out with you. (Maybe Stewart could learn this.)

    2. For the sake of my son’s future racing career, I will need to put on an extra 100 pounds. What is up with fat dads and fast racers? Does anyone know what Reed’s dad looks like, because I am just looking at MC’s dad, RC’s dad, and Stewart’s dad and it appears that the heavier the dad, the faster the rider.

    3. Those whoops were way more brutal than what they are today.
