Common sense says that water and electronics never mix well, but that theory goes out the window when your job is to shoot at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and the skies open. After a long stretch of sunny motos, we’d almost forgotten what it was like to suddenly scramble and wrap our equipment in trash bag and duct tape to keep the elements of a mud race out. With cameras and lenses costing just as much as a new motorcycle, every possible precaution is taken to keep something from seeping inside the cases.
Jeff Kardas as been in the photographer racket for years, and since hails from Ohio, we knew that he’d break out every trick when it came to covering his Canon shooting equipment. Kardy braved the storm in practice and moto ran to get the images he needed, and early this week we featured a hundred or so of our favorites. Now that the chore of cleaning the equipment is complete, he’s fired over a dozen wallpapers from the day which are sized to fit your computer screen.
