Photos by Jeff Kardas
The ability to overcome a technical issue in the field is what separates a professional photographer from someone that just happens to have a camera. With bright sun, high temperatures, and ever-present dirt at the Nationals, a shooter’s equipment takes a beating over the course of a season and increases the chances of a catastrophic failure. This unfortunately happened to our hired gun Jeff Kardas at the 2014 Washougal MX, but this didn’t put much of a dent of the massive amount of photos taken while in Washington state, thanks to a back-up body. We picked through the collection from the weekend and chose some of our favorites for this gallery, and have more coming from Kardy later in the week that will be sized for your computer screen.
