“San Diego hosted the sixth round of the Monster Energy Supercross series this past weekend, but we were in a new venue at Petco Park. The tour has been visiting Qualcomm Stadium for the last few years and it was refreshing to get some new scenery. The back drop at Petco Park is killer with the stadium being in downtown San Diego. The track was pretty good to shoot and had a few crazy long rhythm lanes that had racers doing a bunch of different combinations. The racing was top notch as well, with Canard and Roczen going at it most of the 450 main and Cooper Webb salvaging a win after a nasty crash in practice left him not knowing if he would even race or not. I loved how the track crew have prepped the West Coast courses with quite a bit of water at almost all of the rounds. It really made the corners develop more than I had ever seen on the typically dry hard pack California tracks. On to Arlington this weekend and a set of new faces in the Lites class—its going to be good!”
