The riders’ meeting just concluded for Anaheim III, and while the rain has stopped for now, the AMA/FIM has decided to wait until 3:50 to pull the tarps off the track. Shortly after that, the track walk will take place with three qualifying sessions—two for the crowded Lites class and a single combined one for the Supercross class. If the rain persists and conditions don’t appear favorable at 3:50, however, the removal of the plastic will get pushed back slightly. One thing is for sure, though, there will be qualifying practice sessions to seed the riders into the night program; practice will not be cut completely like it was in 2005 for the muddy Anaheim I race.
