If you live in Southern California, you are undoubtedly familiar with the TransWorld SLAM Fest. For those not up to date, we at TWMX take over one track for a day and open the gates to riders and fans for a day of at the track, all free of charge. Support from the industry takes it to the next level, as nearly every brand lines up on vendor row to display the latest products to the masses and give out enough free product to fill the truck bed. No event would be complete without a professional presence, as Rockstar Energy Drink Metal Mulisha FMX demos and the SLAM Head-to-Head pro race draw the sport’s best, despite it being the “off-season.”
This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, as we move to the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park and its massive spread that lays just off the 15 freeway. With two full tracks (the National track and Vet track), there will be no lulls in riding. To get the next generation of riders hooked, the mini track will host our “Kids’ Learn To Ride” area, complete with bikes to ride. The biggest perk of all is that riding on every track will cost nothing.
If you are in Southern California this Saturday, October 13th, there is no better place to be for a moto fan to be than Lake Elsinore. For more information and details, the following pages will be your guide.
Gates and tracks will both open on Saturday at 8AM, so we recommend arriving early to earn a choice parking area and the most time on the track possible. Riding sessions will be separated by skill level and all will be granted equal time on the circuits. To prepare the layout for the afternoon’s SLAM Pro Race, the Main Track will close at 2PM, while the Vet Track will remain open for an additional hour. At 3PM, all tracks will close as we divert attention to the namesake of the event, the SLAM Pro Race.
Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Derek Garland will perform FMX demos at the Rockstar Energy Metal Mulisha Freestyle Compound at 10:30AM and 12:15PM. As two of the most experienced members of the Metal Mulisha, the sets thrown down by Fitzpatrick and Garland will feature the most intense tricks in freestyle motocross. The Compound will be located near both Vendor Row and the Vet Track.
The SLAM Pro Race will conclude the day, as a select field of the sport’s best duel head-to-head on the Nick Wey designed track. Its two-lap, two-man format makes the SLAM Pro Race unlike any other event they compete in and encourages the racers to leave nothing to chance. Dean Wilson, Wil Hahn, and Justin Bogle all taken the money, the SLAM belt, and the December cover of TransWorld Motocross, but who will claim it this year?

Something that makes the SLAM Festival is the support and turnout from the industry itself. After working a full week, numerous companies turn up for an entire Saturday at the track and interact with fans through their latest products, promotions, and giveaways. Over 50 brands have confirmed they will be apart of our event this year, and nearly all will be giving away products or services throughout the day. Notable examples are John Burr Cycles/Maxima (free oil changes), Answer Racing (DIY stencil shirts), and MagnaFlow (automotive exhaust giveaway). The complete list would be too much to mention here, so be sure to swing by each booth and see what they have up for grabs.
