Longtime motorcycle industry executive to head up OMS’ new West Coast office
FLORENCE, Ky., (Dec. 5, 2002) — OMS Sports announced today that motorcycle industry icon Dan White has joined the OMS staff, effective immediately, and will be in charge of OMS’ soon-to-be-announced Southern California-based operations.
“Dan’s 35 years of motorcycle industry experience was paramount in our decision to hire him and will be a valuable asset in the opening of our new West Coast office, said Cory Jonson, OMS Sports’ general manager. “With the rapid expansion, both geographically and client-wise that OMS is experiencing, we were in need of somebody to step in and perform immediately. And Dan White certainly fits that need.
White, a former racer who began in the motorcycle career in 1966, comes to OMS with a wealth of industry knowledge. From his days working as teenage mechanic at Southland Cycle Center in the mid 1960s, to his involvement with White Brothers Racing, White has literally lived the history of motorcycle racing.
“I am looking forward to re-entering the industry I love and the opportunity to work with friends I have come to know in the 35 years I have been involved in the motorcycle industry, said White. “OMS Sports is an exciting company offering a much needed product to the clients they serve.
